Both of my children are suckers for kids collectables. My daughter received some Moj Moj for Christmas and ever since then, they’ve been hot property in our household.
There’s something unbelievably exciting about the mystery of blind bags. The anticipation of what could be inside, the gamble you take when you carefully pick one from the bottom of the pile after squeezing five other equally unguessable packages. It’s easy to see the appeal.
We were sent over some Moj Moj samples for the purpose of this editorial feature.
Moj Moj have launched some new ranges – Moj Moj Itty (packaging pictured above) and Moj Moj Crunch (pictured below). We received a few of each to really explore both ranges.
Moj Moj Itty
In case the name didn’t give it away, these are itty bitty, tiny little Moj Moj. They’re colourful, cute and extremely squishy!
Inside each pack is 5 Ittys, a sticker.
The Ittys are squished into a hard clear packaging, which opens out into a case that houses all five of them.
The kids love them because five of anything is far better than one of anything, so they were instantly impressed. The jelly-like feel is therapeutic to squeeze and I didn’t really want to give them back after I’d taken the photos.
We received quite a haul (which delighted the children), the full population is pictured below:
Moj Moj Crunch
These blind boxes contain a single, large Moj Moj in various animal guises. Inside each box you get a big Crunch Moj Moj, a cardboard scene and prop and a collector’s guide.
They’re all really cute, but this pink glittery one is my fave:
He was also a hit with my daughter, who promptly informed my son she had to swap with him so she could be the proud owner of this particular creature. Thankfully, he didn’t mind because he had his eye on one with a horn (possibly a unicorn?), opened by said daughter.
The kids were really please with the display cases and have kept to a strict Moj Moj bedtime routine where each one goes back to its natural habitat when they’ve finished playing.
Greg was particularly proud to own a koala Moj Moj…
… While Emma was eager to show off her chick:
Both children really loved both types of Moj Moj and I’ll no doubt be buying some more in the near future (now they’ve got the taste for blind bag collectables!)
