Accidental Hipster Mum

Dinosaur Toys for Little Boys (from Wicked Uncle)

By accidentalhipstermum 2 Comments

Little boys can be difficult to buy for. I have a son who adores cars, pirates and superheroes, but feel like there are only so many gifts you can buy before you’ve saturated all of the options.

I was thrilled when Wicked Uncle offered me the chance to treat my son to something a little different.

Wicked Uncle are synonymous with unique gifts. I’ve always thought that if you buys a child a present from wicked uncle, you’re not likely duplicate a gift.

Dinosaur Toys for Little Boys*

My son is three and quite likes dinosaurs, but once you’ve got a handful of plastic something-o-sauruses there are not many other dino related toys you can get in a regular toy shop. I wasn’t surprised to find that Wicked Uncle had more dinosaur toys on offer.

Here’s what I chose:

Dinosaur Magnetibook with Letters

Greg went wild when he first saw this and was straight in there playing with it. He loves the magnetic letters on our fridge so I thought he’s be a fan of these but he made a beeline for the dinosaurs!

The dinosaurs are magnetic on the back and the book opens sideways with what must be metal behind the scene outdoor scene for the magnets to stick to.

He was also a fan of the little cards inside the box which have details about dinosaurs on them. Some of those prehistoric names are difficult to pronounce!

Magic Painting World Dinosaurs

This is another favourite because it’s mess-free painting! Inside the box is a white dinosaur scene and a brush pen that you can fill with water. The pictures look like this in the packet:

When you wet the pictures with the brush pen, it reveals a colourful dinosaur scene without the hassle of getting actual paint everywhere. A perk of being mess-free is that we can take them out with us for on-the-go entertainment. Here they are at the granparents’ house:

The magnibook is pretty portable too:

I didn’t want to leave my daughter out, but she’s 9 so has very little in common with her brother. I thought I’d best aim for something they can share, so we went for the Pop Up Pirate game because it’s a classic. Squeals of joy ensued as Mr Pirate was vigorously ejected from his barrel.Dinosaur Toys for Little Boys (from Wicked Uncle)

I was really impressed with the variety of unusual and unique toys on the site, and I was pleased to find the toys were of great quality. When Christmas comes around, I’ll be buying from Wicked Uncle for sure!

*NB I chose this title because it rhymed, I understand that girls like dinosaurs too!

If you like this, you might also like to read about Dino World.

If you think these are great gift ideas, why not pin them for later?

These cool dinosaur toys for boys (and girls) are fantastic finds. My son is a big plastic dinosaur lover, so getting him some more unusual dinosaur toys was a real find! Come and see what we got and how he played with them! #dinosaur #dinosaurtoys
