Now that Greg is approaching four, his interests have broadened and we’ve found that dinosaurs are the flavour of the month. I was really excited to hear about the launch of This is Dino World magazine, because I knew it would be perfect for my son. I was even more excited when we were sent a our own complementary copy in a dinosaur themed gift box for my little dino fan!

Inside This is Dino World Magazine
This is Dino World magazine arrived in a fun-packed plastic bag containing some really cool free gifts, including a paint your own dinosaur figure (not pictured):

The magazine itself has loads of information on dinosaurs, but is presented in a cool and fun way which keeps the kids entertained. We’re a sucker for fun facts in our house!

We had a grand old time trying to pronounce some of the dinosaur names (why do they need so many letters?!)
We particularly liked a feature that compared super heroes to different species of dinosaur, especially the bit where the T-Rex was referred to as ‘the Incredible Hulk of dinosaurs’!

The magazine contains plenty to keep your dinosaur lovers entertained for hours, including comic strips, fun facts, competitions, posters, how-to guides, games and puzzles (and that’s before you even get to the free gifts to play with. This is Dino World magazine has been a complete hit in our house and I will be buying it in the future. It’s available from most supermarkets and newsagents, as well as the DC Thompson website.
What else was in the box?
I mentioned we got some extra treats, and I’d never tease you like that by not telling you about them, so here’s what else we received:
Dinosaur poo

It was gross, so of course, it was very popular and even interested our 9-year-old daughter!
Stretchy Slingshot Dino
This has been fired at me many a time and is currently on time out on top of my fridge.
Dinosaur Fossil Excavation Kit

This was loads of fun but a bit messy (nothing the vacuum couldn’t fix though). He needed a bit of help, but got to his dinosaur bones in the end and was very happy!

A Dinosaur Balloon Ball

I can’t seem to inflate it but I think it’s because I’m a weakling, I keep meaning to ask Accidental Hipster Dad to sort it out (he often has to save the day).
Hatching Jurassic Era Dinosaur Egg

This was so exciting, even for me! I wasn’t expecting it to do much really but then it started to hatch and it was really fun to see. Greg was thrilled, he thought it was actual magic!

All in all, this little dino fan was very happy with his haul!
