Horrible Histories is the sole reason I know anything at all about history. My 12-year-old watched it religiously and it ignited a passion for history that I never expected her to have. In my day, if Horrible Histories was on TV, I think I’d be obsessed too.
In fact, I occasionally find myself singing the theme tune in my head, or the catchy ditty “Do the Pachacuti” will take up my thoughtspace while I’m loading the dishwasher.
The series is a huge hit in our house, so I’m excited they have brought out a range of toys, books and games.

Horrible Histories the Board Game
The Horrible Histories board game is great fun to play. To play, your aim is to move around the board by answering questions or performing an action. Both options are likely to have you in hysterics – this is a very funny game.
I’m a fan of when Rattus has a Horrible Chance card for a player!
The game is suitable for kids aged 8 years and over and can have 2-4 players, making it a great game for family night.
There are over 600 questions, which means you’re all bound to come away with some horrible knowledge (or have chance to show off your own.)
