I’m always one for trying new haircare products so when I got an email asking if I’d like to give Vegamour shampoo and conditioner a review write up on my blog, I had to say yes.
My hair is something I care a lot about. I know it sounds shallow, but for me, it feels like a bit part of who I am. People recognise for my hair, people compliment me on it, and when I tie it back in a top knot, suddenly I’m invisible. Who knew hair had so much power, right?
I’ve been going through a crisis lately for which products to use on my hair. I had a reaction last summer to a cheap hair mask I bought from a supermarket, and since then my scalp has been very sensitive. Products I would normally buy started to cause a flare-up and products that were gentle on my skin seemed to completely change the nature of my hair.
For reference, I have thick, wavy hair. I like to wear my hair in smooth curls with lots of volume – so my hair products need to keep the volume, but tame any frizz. I found the Vegamour shampoo and conditioner to do just that.
Below is everything I think about this shampoo and conditioner combo.

I also received the GRO serum to use with the shampoo and conditioner. I’ve used this before and I already know that it definitely helps with hair retention, and I think it has sped up hair growth for me. My hairdresser comments every time she sees me about how much my hair has grown since I started using it.
Vegamour Shampoo and Conditioner Review

I’ve tried Vegamour products in the past, so I already knew what to expect from the brand. They specialise in all things haircare and hair growth.
I’ve had success with their serums in the past so already had a good idea that I’d like the new products I was trying this time. The shampoo and conditioner comes as a package and I think it’s priced correctly for a high-end product.
Vegamour Balancing Shampoo (GRO+ Advanced Balancing Shampoo)

The Vegamour shampoo is a great product. It has a clean, slightly floral scent that stays on the hair after it’s dry. I like this about shampoo, I want my hair to smell nice even after it’s dry. I wash my hair 3 times per week as I bleach it and don’t want to risk extra breakage and I’ve found the scent lasts until my next wash.
When using the shampoo, I’ve found it has a good lather. It leaves your hair feel clean but without leaving build up or stripping it – which is the perfect balance. I’ve also found my hair doesn’t get overly greasy between washes. If I had to delay a hair wash for any reason, I can get away with it without my hair looking bad.
As for volume, I’m happy with the volume and texture my hair has when I’m using this shampoo. It holds a curl well, it doesn’t fall flat but it also keeps a flowing, natural movement that bouncy hair should have.
I’ve also found the formula for this shampoo isn’t aggravating my eczema. I’ve been having trouble for the past year with selecting the right hair products that won’t irritate my skin and I’m pleased to find that this shampoo and conditioner combo doesn’t!
Overall this is a great shampoo and would recommend it.
Vegamour Balancing Conditioner (GRO+ Advanced Balancing Conditioner)

The Vegamour Conditioner is designed to be used with the balancing shampoo. It’s bought as a duo and intended to be used as one.
In my opinion, it pairs perfectly. The conditioner smells the same as the shampoo and seems to help the hair hold moisture. I’ve found my hair to be soft but still able to hold a style when using this combo.
My hair is naturally wavy but if I sleep in heatless curlers (or occasionally use heat) the hair holds it well. Even if I sleep in heatless curlers one night, there is still some curl the next night after going to bed without it in – although it does drop a bit (which is to be expected).
While using the conditioner on wet hair, I find it easy enough to comb through. After I’ve rinsed my hair and dried it, the hair feels soft without leaving a residue.
All of these things are what I would normally expect from a high end shampoo and conditioner set like this is marketed as, but it’s nice to know Vegamour can deliver on promises!
Final Thoughts on Vegamour Balancing Shampoo and Conditioner
To sum up everything I’ve said about this combo (in case you can’t be bothered to read it all), I love the shampoo and conditioner set. It smells great (and continues to smell good until the next wash) and my hair doesn’t get greasy on my current wash schedule. My hair feels good in terms of not having any obvious residue and feeling smooth. I’ve also noticed my hair is easy to style and my scalp gets on well with the formula.
All in all, it’s great haircare set and I’d recommend it if you’re looking for an all-rounder haircare routine.
