I’m a sucker for a beauty box, and Glossybox has always been one of my faves. There’s something about the excitement of not knowing what treats you’ll be getting that makes this beauty subscription box all the more tantalising.
This month I had a clue what I’d be receiving, because last month’s teaser told me to expect a little something from much-loved Huda Beauty. I still can’t quite believe that a beauty box I pay £10 a month for is sending out Huda Beauty products! I expect the rest of the country had the exact dame thought because this month’s box sold out fast.
I was also surprised that the rest of the contents of the box was so good, I thought they might have thrown in some token products to make up for the expense of the Huda product, but the rest of the stuff was great quality too!
Here’s what was inside the box, you nosey lot!
Stylondon – Eaton Eyeshadow Palette

This pocket-sized palette is perfect for creating sumptuous autumn eyeshadow looks. I’m obsessed with the warm tones and the palette contains the perfect mix of foiled and matte shades. It’s an all-rounder and the exact shades I’ve been after for this season.
Context – Micro-Derm Regenerator

I’m enjoying this little cleanser that uses microdermabrasion crystals. I’m always on the lookout for skincare that’ll make me look less of a hag, and I’m pleased with the results I’m getting from this. Cruelty-free, fragrance-free and not overly harsh on skin, I think this will be topping the Christmas lists of skincare addicts everywhere.
Huda Beauty – Liquid Matte Lipstick – Girlfriend

Everything about this is perfect. I’ve been so excited to receive this liquid and it honestly doesn’t disappoint! The shade is soft and autumnal, it glides on like butter but stays put like a dream. With an RRP of £18, it’s almost twice the value of the £10 I paid for the box!
Living Proof – Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo

Without wanting to bring my writing skills into question, I must admit that I struggle to make dry shampoo sound sexy. Living Proof products are always nice in my experience and the dry shampoo works well and doesn’t make me look all scabby and full of dandruff. There’s just not that much else to say about a product that allows me to be more secretive about my between-wash festering!
Palmers – Cocoa Butter Original Solid Formula

This has been really nice on my dry hands and lips. It smells fantastic and has a nice, oily texture. I’m temped to put it on my whole face one night to let it work its magic, but I’m not sure I could take the mockery from husband. He always thinks it’s hilarious when I use various potions and got to bed with an entirely reflective face!
Chloe Nomade Perfume – The Extra Treat

When an extra treat gets thrown in, I’m always extra happy. I’ve been more than impressed with this month’s haul, and now I have a tiny amount of expensive perfume. I can where it when I’m next around people that will recognise the scent, and then instead of admitting it was a tester, I’ll pretend I’m rich and I have the full-size version at home.

That’s the entirety of the box! I’m sure no one was expecting more than that, I wasn’t even expecting as much as what I got!
