I’ve been through it just lately. I had a period that lasted over a month and my son has been in hospital, so I decided I needed a treat. I’m currently watching what I eat, so in the absence of chocolate, I thought only makeup would be suitable pick-me-up.
Glossybox: Trick or Treat
Glossybox’s Halloween edition was available in ‘trick’ or ‘treat’ but no one knew what they’d get (which was a big part of the suspense for me!).

This isn’t a shade I’d normally wear, but somehow it manages to look great on and right up-to-the-minute in the style stakes. The texture of this creamy semi-matte is pure perfection and slides on for an on-trend finish to any look. I’m super pale but it doesn’t wash me out and would equally cool against any other skin tone.

I’ve been going bare on the foundation front for a few weeks. My skin has really been playing up and I’ve found foundation just makes me look a bit scabby. During this time, it’s been really important for me to get my glow on. I’ve been facing the day with an anti-shine day cream, a dab of under eye concealer, some blush and a smudge of highlight on my cheekbone to get that healthy finish my foundation once produced.

I’ve had this in beauty boxes a few times, and each time I’m pleased because I love using it but never get round to actually splashing out and buying it myself. It’s meant to be worn under makeup, but I’m going bare at the minute and find it gives just the pore erasing finish I need.

Sleek has been one of my favourite drug-store eyeshadow brands for a while now. The colours are so much more than the price tag would suggest and their staying power is just insane.
