Father’s Day is all about thanking Dad for everything he does. My husband is a great dad who loves to play with the kids. He devotes lots of time and attention to keeping them entertained – he’s definitely the fun parent in our house!
We wanted to celebrate Father’s Day by spending some quality time together, so we were delighted to receive this bundle of fun family games.
Or games bundle consisted of the below, and we couldn’t wait to get stuck in! Here’s what we got to play with:
- Stare Off
- Grabolo
- Rummikub
- Rubik’s Revolution
- Tetris 3D
Stare Off
Star Off is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. It’s the traditional concept of a staring contest, with a fresh twist!
Players go eye-to-eye to determine who is the Stare Off champion of the world! It’s decided on a best-of-three basis, where you move closer to your opponent every round.
You’re allowed to distract your opponent – in fact, it’s encouraged! Each game pack includes cards to help you kick you opponent off the path to victory.
Stare Off is fun to watch and fun to play. Definitely a good buy if your family likes games.
Rubik’s Revolution
Rubik’s Revolution is a one or two player game that’s as addictive to play as the traditional-style cube. Instead of trying to line up all your sides, the cube is in fixed position, with a light in the centre of each side.
The aim of the game is to press the light on each side as it shines. The game speeds up and the timer runs out quicker each turn, but your main goal is to see how many you get in a row. It’s than it looks but lots of fun.
Although it has a two-player setting, my husband and son prefer to take it in turns to beat one another’s best score.
Tetris 3D
3D Tetris sounds like a crazy idea, and it kind of is! Riffing off the classic video game of my youth, Tetris 3D brings the challenge to life. It’s a fun brain teaser with different ways to complete each puzzle.
I’m not so great at it!
Grabolo
Grabolo is already a family favourite, it’s easy to grasp for the younger family members, but it’s also a fast-paced fun game.
Scatter the pieces, roll the dice and grab what you need to win! You can even steal pieces from your opponent in order to win. I like it because it’s portable and can easily be taken on holiday or a trip to the grandparent’s.
Rummikub
This game is better for slightly older children who love a challenge. It’s for 2-4 players and is suitable for ages 7 and up, meaning although Greg tried his best to follow, it was a little over his head (he’s 5).
The aim of the game is to go “Rummikub” by using all of your tiles. You can use tiles that are already set down and manipulate them to help you win the game. It’s a fun family game but is likely to be a little bit beyond the little ones. Our 11-year-old loves it though!

I like the look of Rummikub as were all over 10 in our house. We love family games
I like the look of Grabolo! Fun for all the family and reminds me of the game ‘spoons’, where if you get the right cards you have to grab a spoon quickly to win – which can get very competitive!
Like to try Grabolo as my grandson are still very young and could probably get the gist of this game
Stare Off looks like good fun.
I like the look of the 3D tetris game, as this is a game me and my dad used to play on the computer. Although it looks a lot different it would be nice to give it a go.
