Now I’m in my 30’s, I’m constantly looking for ways to slow down signs of ageing and trying to regain the youthful looks of my 20’s. I’m probably never going to look 21 again, but I’m determined to look thirty-something for as long as I can!
Cosmetic Procedures to Keep You Looking Young
There all sorts things you can have done to keep ageing at bay. So far, all I’ve tried is creams, oils and various potions. I’m yet to have any type of procedure, but I’ve been looking into how each one is meant to help you look young.
Brighten Your Smile

Your teeth can give away your age, even if you’re wrinkle-free! A yellowing smile ages your face, and crooked teeth don’t always allow your smile to shine. There are two routes you can go down to get enviable teeth: braces followed by whitening, or veneers. Veneers will give you fast, dazzling results, but don’t be tempted by a spot of dental tourism. Veneers in the UK are much safer than their budget counterparts abroad. In the UK you know exactly what you’re getting, you’re protected by regulations and it’s so much easier to nip back for aftercare or get in touch with any questions. I also find it beneficial to head over to https://www.dentalartsny.com/ for some amazing treatment options.
Non-Surgical Enhancement

Fillers became popular because volume = youth. As you age, your skin looses elasticity, which in turn can wipe out that ‘plump’ look your skin and lips have when you’re younger. I’m lucky enough enough to have quite full lips, so I’ve not considered lip fillers for myself but I can see how pillowy lips can keep you looking young.
Botox
Another injectable that I haven’t tried. When I read around it, advice differs. Some experts believe prevention is better than remedy. This suggests that in order to not have wrinkles, it might be better to not allow wrinkles to form so it’s a procedure you might want to discuss before any sign of wrinkles appear.
Skin Peels
I’ve been on the skincare bandwagon for a while and I’m no stranger to at-home peels. I prefer gentle exfoliation rather than anything too harsh and I’m always very careful with my skin after. Exfoliating regularly (with a peel or daily exfoliator) can help keep fine lines at bay and keep your skin looking bright. Just remember to wear a facial SPF because your face will be extra sensitive and more likely to burn after.
Skin Oils

My attention has recently turned to facial oils. I’ve discovered that if my skin becomes dehydrated, I get the appearance of fine lines around my eyes. If I use a very hydrating moisturiser, these lines go away but they don’t stay away. This is where the oils come in. I’ve started applying oil at the end of my skincare routine every night, and sometimes in the morning. The oil tends to lock the moisture in and keep my skin hydrated for longer.
A Good Skincare Routine
Skin needs careful care if you want it to look nice. That means no sleeping in your makeup, and learning how to properly cleanse. The double-cleanse is essential for taking proper care of your skin. If you don’t clean of the day’s makeup and natural oil and cells your skin is constantly shedding, it can block your pores. This makes your skin look dull, which in turn, ages you. Get into the habit of thorough cleansing, regular exfoliation and adequate moisturising to help keep your skin looking young.
