Birchbox UK Review

Birchbox UK Review : July Edition

It’s always exciting to get a new subscription box, and this month Birchbox are giving away an eyeshadow palette worth £19 to new subscribers. With a deal like that, it’d be rude not to, right? (Get your Birchbox now!)

Here’s a peek inside:

Inside my UK Birchbox for July

Birchbox UK Review

As you can see, it’s jam-packed with loads of great stuff, even before you consider the eyeshadow palette freebie.`

Percy & Reed Frizz Fixer

Hair spray Birchbox UK Review

First up is this fancy frizz fixer. It’s been too hot for me to actually style my hair for about a fortnight so I’ve not tried this yet. I do know that Percy & Reed normally make fab products, so I’m excited to give it a go when more acceptable temperatures return.

Floss Eyeshadow in Shade Maui

I’ve only recently started experimenting with pink and red eyeshadow tones. I quickly swatched this and the pigment looks good. I think I’d probably team this colour up with golden tones for a beautiful summer look.

Fluffy Blending Brush

Close up of the brush in my Birchbox

It’s hard to get a good shot of the end of a brush, but brush is light and fluffy and perfect for blending.

Marcelle Curling and Lengthening Mascara

Close up mascara

This mascara is curling and lengthening, which is my favourite type. The wand makes application easy and helps curl lashes by sort of scooping them upwards as the mascara is applied.

Deep Sleep Pillow Spray

Deep sleep pillow spray

I’ve had this spray a  few times in the past, it seems to be a subscription box staple. It smells lush and is designed to relax you and send you off to sleep quickly. I’m normally so tired I fall asleep instantly, so can’t vouch for its effectiveness, but can confirm it smells nice!

Dawngazing Palette

Gogeous eyeshadaow packaging

I just can’t get over the beautiful packaging of this palette. This photo doesn’t do it justice, it’s shiny and iridescent. Gorgeous.

Birchbox UK Review

The peaches, reds and burgundies of this palette are so beautiful, I can’t wait to try out some vampish vintage looks with these romantic shades.

I’ve liked everything in this box (there’s a risk you won’t always when it comes beauty boxes). With the constant offers on, it’s definitely worth signing up for a surprise in the mail. There’s no obligation to stick it after the first month, so if it’s not your thing, you can just cancel it!

2 boxes for just £10 (+ £2.95 p&p) at Birchbox. Simply use the code JULY10.

  1. I love the deep sleep pillow spray- it is something that i really need as relaxing to prepare to sleep is something I struggle with on a daily basis.

  2. Lucy Wright-Booth

I like the sound of the Marcelle Curling and Lengthening Mascara. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect mascara so would love to try this!

  3. I love these boxes as they always have lovely bits in. Glossybox is good too, the actual boxes are beautiful!

  4. I highly recommend the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray to everyone! It’s one of my sleep routine staples and really helps me nod off.

  5. The Deep Sleep Pillow Spray sounds just what I need as it takes me ages to fall asleep and then I wake several times during the night for no reason

  6. I keep seeing that Pillow Spray and mean to give it a go, although there are so many products in this one that I could see myself using. I keep toying with the idea of signing up to Birchbox, perhaps someone will get me one for Christmas!

  7. I had a Birchbox subscription for around 8 months and cancelled as they all started to get a bit samey! I absolutely love the palette you got in Julys box

  8. The Dawngazing palette looks great, would love a subscription but have had too many bad ones from other companies to trust them anymore, I just play it safe now

  9. What a lovely selection. The people at Birchbox obviously know their stuff. My favourite item is the Dawngazing Palette.

  10. Percy & Reed Frizz Fixer sounds like something i need – the price of these boxes is very reasonable and a great way to sample products x

  11. Carrie Talbot-Ashby

I do love Percy & Reed hair products when I can afford them, and the rest of it looks great, so a Birchbox might have to be the way to go!

  12. i’m totally addicted to subscription boxes though some months are hit and miss. Birchbox is great and I also like latest in beauty.

  13. I love the Dawngazing Palette! the colours are gorgeous and it’s something I’d definitely use 🙂 I’ve never subscribed to a box like this, but I certainly would if they consistently come with things that good!
