10 Cheeky Cosy Season Updates for Your Home

Suddenly the mornings are cold and the nights come quickly. Summer is gone and cosy season is upon us, and I’ll be honest – it’s my favourite time of year.

My favourite thing in the world is to curl up in a ball, wrap myself up warm and watch something wholesome on the TV (usually Gilmore Girls). My second favourite thing is to make some cosy tweaks to my house with a sprinkling of new autumnal accessories.

Below are my top picks for cosy updates you can make to your home to get yourself autumn-ready.

Teddy Bedding

The only way to make the cosiest place in the world is even cosier, is to get some teddy bedding on your bed. It’s fluffy, it’s warm and this gingerbread design is deliciously autumnal.  Bonus points if you treat yourself to a new duvet – I like a 10.5 tog for all year round.

Prices start at the bargain price of £13 for a single.

Cable Knit Cushion Cover

Spruce up your lounge by replacing the cushion covers for a new and super cosy look. Reminiscent of your nanna’s knitting, this cable knit design cushion cover is the perfect neutral off-white to be a great accessory for any lounge.

Replacing cushion covers instead of the whole cushion keeps this little revamp very affordable – prices start from £3.50.

Autumnal Gonk Throw

While we’re on the lounge, no makeover is complete without a new throw. This autumnal gonk themed throw pairs perfectly with the cable knit cushions and looks like it’s super-toasty with its fleecy lining.

Currently only £10.

Autumnal Gonk Cushion

There’s no need to wait until Christmas to get the gonks out – get yourself an autumnal gonk cushion. He comes in pleasing orange and brown tones and looks like a cute companion to keep on your sofa.

At only a tenner each, you can get a few or invest in a few other quirky cushions.

Croissant Cuddle Cushion

Cuddle cushions are a comfy companion for any seating, whether you’re sat up watching TV in bed or trying to get comfy on the sofa. I love the friendly face on the croissant and the fluffy fabric looks so cosy.

A bargain accessory for £20.

Hello Pumpkin Doormat

If you’re updating your home for autumn, you can’t ignore the first thing people see when you invite them in – the doormat! The message reads “Hello Pumpkin” and the design features brown gonks, pumpkins and falling leaves for a very autumnal look.

At only £8, it’s hard to resist this welcome mat!

Cosy PJs

There’s no reason your cosy updates just need to stick to furnishings. You’re in your home and deserve some cosy upgrades too, so why not get yourself some pretty new PJs to help you in your quest for cosiness.

They’re only £12, but size choices are limited.

Toastie Toast Hottie

A great way to get warm without cranking up that heating is to invest in a microwaveable hottie. This toastie hottie has a similarly cute face to the croissant cushion and is very huggable-looking.

Snap one up for £9.50.

Pumpkin Spice Towels

Maybe its time to get yourself some new fluffy towels and face cloths. If you’re getting out of a hot shower in cold weather, then you want to feel like you’re wrapping yourself in a fluffy cloud.

Pick some autumnal tones and treat yourself to some new bath sheets – they’re only £8.50, which I think you’d struggle to beat.

New Bath Mat

Admittedly this bath mat isn’t all the autumnal-looking, but I just love it so it made it to the list. I think the pinks and orange would go really well with autumnal tones, so if you buy some of those burnt orange towel above, they’ll tie in nicely with the colours.

Also, it’s only £8, which is an absolute steal.
