As a plus size woman, finding good quality, well fitting activewear has often been a challenge. When I discovered the brand Yvette goes right up to size 5XL, I was really excited to try some of the clothing out.
Yvette is a professional women’s sportwear brand that wants to bring high quality workout wear to customers of all shapes and sizes. Their aim is to bring confidence, comfort and characteristic to all customers who buy their products, and because of this, they put a lot of effort into their design.
Plus Size Activewear Review from Yvette
I was given the opportunity to try some items of activewear in exchange for this honest review. I gave it some thorough testing before reporting back so I could give some really useful details.
The items I chose made up two workout outfits – two plus size sports bras and two sets of plus size leggings. The sizing goes up to 5XL and I ordered the leggings in a 4XL and bras in a 3XL+. For reference, I wear a UK size 20 in most things and my bra size is around a 40H (depending on the brand).
Yvette sports bras review
The first bra I went for was the Power Cross Back Padded Running Bra. I prefer a padded bra, even though I’ve got a bigger bust as I think the padding provides structure. I also think padding allows the bra to be less revealing, by smoothing out your shape.

Sports bras are notorious for being difficult to get on and off, but this one was surprisingly easy. The back fastening gives the bra a bit more movement for getting it on and off. When I wear the bra, it keeps everything in place and comfortable.

The second bra I chose was the Limitless Adjustable Padded Running Bra. It has a zip up front and lots of adjustable areas to get the fit really snug and secure. Having a zip front makes it easier to get the bra on, and I really like how comfy and well-fitting it is.

Because the fit is secure and snug, the bra does seem to emphasise that I’m busty, but I’d probably throw a baggy T-shirt if I was working out in public anyway as I like to cover up. It definitely does the job and I’m pleased about how sturdy it feels whilst also being super soft.
Yvette Leggings Review
I ordered both pairs of leggings in 4XL as I have more weight on my tummy and I didn’t want to feel squashed in. I probably could have got along fine with the size below, but I’m happy enough with the fit.
The first pair of leggings I went for was the Echo High-Waisted Pocket Running Leggings. After having kids, my tummy isn’t exactly ripped, so I prefer a high-waisted fit in all trousers and leggings.

The waistband on these leggings is both soft and supportive. I find my tummy area is quite sensitive, so I love these leggings for not digging in. This set of leggings has a handy concealed pocket so I can go the gym or for a walk without having to carry in things in my hands or in a bag.

The second set of leggings I chose were Sculpt Side Pocket Mesh Running Leggings. These leggings also have a comfy waistband, concealed pocket and fit really nicely. They also have mesh panels on the sides of my legs which I think makes the leggings look really on-trend.

Overall Opinion on Yvette Activewear
I absolutely love both outfits I chose from the range. I’ve never owned sports bras that are so comfy to wear, so easy to get on, but also so sturdy when I’m wearing them. As a plus size woman, I’d definitely recommend using this brand and I’ll probably be adding to my collection very soon.
The workout wear from Yvette is very well made, and when you’re wearing it, you can tell the fabric used is high quality too. It’s soft, stretchy and supportive, which is hard to come by!
The whole range is lovely and I can’t recommend it enough!
