Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner

I’m still in the midst of deadlines, but the urgency has eased up a little after an extremely intense week. In two weeks all deadlines will be over and I promise that all of you readers will have my full attention (hi Mum).

Exciting things

Let’s start with some of the fab things that have been happening while I’ve been too busy to share it. I won a HUUUGE competition with You Baby, Me Mummy, which is definitely the best thing that has happened since I started blogging. This is the only prize I’ve had time to snap, but there’ll be more about my win on the blog soon.

It’s even got my initials on!

I’ve also booked my wedding for November. I don’t want to put all of the details online for obvious reasons but I’m really glad I’ve gone for something fuss-free but still (hopefully) beautiful. Due to the fact that I’m obviously insane to book at wedding in 6 months when I’m still very fat, I’ve had to go on a mega diet.

By mega diet, I mean complete meal replacement (which I had to give up while I had a lot of work to do so I could stay up late and eat cake, but I’m returning to it after my Thursday deadline this week). The ‘food’ is really tasty, but it looks pretty uninspiring. This was a ‘Sunday roast’:

I know it looks gross, but it tasted amazing. It’s a bit disheartening when all of your meals look like this though

I’ve also had a bit of an Amazon binge where I bought LOADS of cheap make-up (again, coming soon to the blog), and this amazing toothbrush.

The toothbrush lights up and vibrates which is an attractive prospect to Greg. We no longer have to wrestle him to the ground and pin him down to get a scrub in. It’s made life (and bedtime) a lot nicer.

Less than exciting things

Less than exciting things (because I can’t just post to boast) include the uni deadlines (I keep going on about them, but they’re taking over my life) and the fact me and Greg keep getting ill so have spent the last month or so under the weather and a bit cross. I think I’m probably quite run down really.

A spot of melancholy reflection.

I have nothing else to share with you because this is pretty much everything that has happened in my life recently. Sorry to be a bore! However, if you fancy giving me a helping hand, I would love to be nominated for a Brilliance in Blogging award.

If you click the picture below, it should take you to a form that seems quite daunting. You don’t have to fill in all the bits like Twitter username and favourite post. All it really needs is the website address (accidentalhipstermum.com) and a reason (use your own words here, but I hear ‘awesome’ is a popular adjective hint, hint).

  1. Amelia has had that toothbrush since she was first brushing, but has suddenly decided to ditch the ‘buzzy one’ in favour of a dinosaur one. *sigh* I’m not gonna bang on about a toothbrush, but I really love the fact that we have managed to get different size kids brush heads for it so that both Amelia and Wills can use it. How cool that you won with Aby!! I completely missed that one haha!! I’ve got a little Father’s Day giveaway going live on Wednesday, feel free to have a nosey! Congrats on booking your wedding, how exciting! Not so many congrats on that Roast though lol, but I believe you when you say it was tastier than it looks haha!! #RV&HT

  2. It looks a bit like baby food ? I hope it tastes better tho! ?
Well done in the competition! And good luck with the wedding planning!!
