Growing up in the 90’s, I was always going to be a Care Bears fan. I remember having a Care Bears nightie and watching the Care Bears Movie on VHS. I even had my own collection of bears that I would cuddle at night.
Care Bears were a big deal in my house back then.
Fast forward a few (ahem – twenty odd) years, and my own child is now a fan. Greg was delighted to open our package and find three friendly bear faces staring up at him (I say three, one is a bit grumpy-looking!).
Plush Care Bears – Meet the Bears
Each Plush Care Bear has it’s own identity and characteristics, which makes it even more exciting to collect them all. If I was a kid right now, I’d be trying to get a full set by asking for bears for Christmas and birthday presents. In case you can’t tell, I think I might be just as excited as Greg by our beary delivery.
Bedtime Bear
Bedtime Bear is a cuddly friend to keep you company when it’s time to sleep. He’s the perfect size to snuggle up to as you drift off into the land of nod. He’s got a friendly, sleepy expression and super-soft fur, making him the ideal bedtime companion to settle down with after your story.
I think Bedtime Bear is a fab bear to start your collection with and can easily be added to a bedtime routine. Greg went to sleep cuddling Bedtime Bear and played with him in the morning when he woke up which was nice.

Grumpy Bear 14″ Plush
Grumpy Bear may have a grouchy expression, but there’s still plenty to love about him. This is the 14″ plush version of him, but he’s also available in a smaller 9″ version too. Grumpy Bear’s tummy symbol of a cloud with rain falling around a heart reminds us that we’re loved even when we’re grumpy. It’s a nice message for children and I think it encourages them to talk about their feeling and discuss what’s making them sad or grumpy.
The 14″ plushness of him makes him perfectly huggable too. Grumpy Bear has also made it into the bedtime gang of soft toys on Greg’s bed and he loves to copy his grumpy face! This size and the 9″ size of bear are also available in the following characters: Cheer Bear, Tenderheart Bear, Funshine Bear, Good Luck Bear, and Share Bear.
Each of the 14″ plush bears comes with a coin with it’s own special message. This one reads “Forgive a friend who was grumpy to you.” Which I think is an important message that teaches children about tolerance and forgiveness.

Cheer Bear 9″ Plush
Cheer Bear in the 9″ plush size is still just as huggable, but a bit easier to transport around. She’s a very portable size and has a lovely friendly face. The colourful rainbow on her tummy is a badge of hope and happiness and she’s always on hand to cheer someone up!
