Thought Clothing Review
I was lucky enough to receive a beautiful dress from Thought Clothing to review so I could see for myself just how beautifully each garment is made.
I chose this absolutely stunning dress that is made out of hemp and natural cotton.
I chose it for its lovely design, but later learned just how amazing it is. The thing you need to know about clothing made of hemp is that it’s very earth kind.
Hemp uses much less water that cotton – 91% in fact! It hardly uses any water at all, which means it can be rain fed – leaving a lower carbon footprint.
What makes hemp so great as a fabric?
Since I got my hands on this gorgeous dress I’ve taken a real interest in hemp clothing. It turns out that hemp is a wonder-fabric that has so many benefits.
As mentioned above, it takes less water to grow, making it environmentally friendly from that stand point. The fabric itself is also compostable, biodegradable and recyclable, making it even better for the environment that I originally thought.
It’s also thermodynamic, making it a dream to wear. It’ll keep you warm when it’s cold and cold when it’s warm. Perfect for clothes you can wear all year round.
On top of that, the fabric is breathable, antibacterial, anti-allergen and antifungal, making it comfortable and safe to wear. It also means you’re less likely to smell if you sweat a lot, which can only be a bonus!
About the Thought Tarni Hemp Patchwork Midi Dress
The dress I chose was the Tarni Hemp Patchwork Midi Dress. It’s just my style and looked to be a flattering cut.
I’m 5’9 and usually wear anything between and 18 and a 22, but I blame that one sizes varying from one brand to another. This dress only goes up to an 18, so I thought I’d give it a shot and I think it fits really well, don’t you?
The fit is comfortable, I have room to move but it’s not too tight or too loose. The fabric feels great against my skin and I just love the design.
I think that the dress looks well-made and has a beautiful cut, this makes it look chic and classy and a million miles away from fast fashion. I always think slow fashion stands out as high quality.
I absolutely love this dress and I’ll be so pleased to wear it for years to come. It’s a fabulous addition to my wardrobe and I’ll be wearing it in every season!
