Snag Tights Review: Do Snag Tights Live Up to the Hype?

Does the internet really need another Snag Tights review? All I ever see is how amazing they are on social media. To be honest, I think the word has spread far and wide enough for everyone to know that Snag tights are just ace, and I’m not going to disagree with that.

I wanted to write my own review, because I’ve had my Snags since the beginning. I was originally sent a couple of pairs from the PR team when the business was new. I wrote about them back then and featured them on my Instagram (maybe around 2019? if you’re into scrolling back that far) but this review isn’t sponsored and it’s not an ad.

Snag tights are everywhere and everybody seems to love them, but are they worth the money and do they live up to the hype? I would say they’re on the more expensive end of the tights-buying spectrum, so you kind of need to know that you won’t be throwing your money away if you splash out on a pair.

Snag Tights Review

Snag Tights comes in a wide range of sizes, colours, patterns and textures. They offer everything you could want from a tights manufacturer (maybe even more) and I was ready to put them to the test.

Snag Tights have been popping up all over social media, claiming to be the new saviour in hosiery.

I decided to review the tights based on factors that matter to me. I like them to be as thick. Stretchiness is important too. Tights need to be comfy and not slip down either. I’m a plus size girlie, so popping down my local Primark doesn’t usually yield a good pair of tights that fit me nicely.

I expect the colour to be close to the picture and I don’t want them to ladder or snag within the first hour of wearing them. Basically, I have a lot of demands and I want them all met!

Are Snag Tights Worth It?

Snag tights are the strongest and stretchiest tights I’ve ever come across and it’s so good that they come in all different colours. Not only that, they come in various patterns and limited edition designs, so you can really elevate your wardrobe by investing in a few choice pairs. They’ll last well too, so totally worth the money.

In addition to the selection of tights, some personalized accessories can also enrich your wardrobe.

This review was originally published in 2019, but I’m updating it in 2024 to let you know I still have all of these tights, they have survived amazingly and they’re all still as good as the day I got them. My collection has grown since then, but everything has been bought with my own money. I’m just such a huge Snag Tights fan, I came back to let you know they’re still great after 5 years!

Are Snag Tights Legit?

First and foremost, if I order from any company, I like to make sure they’re not going to scam my details, or take my money and never send the products. I can confirm Snag are a legit business and very lovely too! You won’t get any drama with them and your details are safe. So you can shop for fancy tights without a worry in your head!

Snag Tights Review: Colour & Thickness

I chose tights from the 80 denier range because I like thick tights that aren’t sheer enough to see my legs through them. All of the tights I received from this range where as thick as I had hoped for and gave my legs great coverage. I thought they did an amazing job, even the mustard ones which I felt sure would be a little sheer.

Since trying all the colour blocking tights (including black for the days I’m feeling sensible) I’ve also ventured into pattered tights too. The patterned tights are a bit more expensive but just as good. They don’t slip but I did find that they’re maybe not as stretchy.

I recently lost weight but because I’m tall, I found myself unsure of what size to go for. I couldn’t tell if I should get my usual or size down. I was buying pattered tights and decided that they’d look much worse if they pooled at my ankles. I sized down in one pair but got my usual size in another pattern and I should have just got my usual size in both.

Snag tights sizing

Snag tights have their own sizing system. It turns out women’s sizes are pretty arbitrary, consider the number means nothing and clothes with a certain number on widely differ in size. That’s one of the things I love about Snag tights sizing. They have a guide and tell you what you should order based on height and the usual clothing size you wear (within a range, so it doesn’t matter that these sizes vary from shop to shop).

Once you’ve read the key and figured out which letter size to get, the Snag tights sizing system is accurate. Every pair I have bought has been a lovely fit.

How stretchy are the tights?

The tights from Snag are really stretchy in a very unique way. They stretch both up and out which makes them really flexible and means they don’t pinch or nip when you bend you legs or move about. I was pleasantly surprised as I’ve never had tights with so much movement before.

Do Snag tights ladder?

To my knowledge, no. Within the 5 minutes of wearing my first pair, I caught them on a nail head and felt sure they’re  disintegrate into the ether like so many other brands of tights do. Thankfully, these tights appear to be magic and there wasn’t so much as a little nick in them!

Snag free tights?

Are Snag Tights snag free? I know you’re wondering! I’ve worn mine a lot and I haven’t snagged them once. I’ve even got a sharp screw head poking out on my bed from where I’ve assembled it badly and I’ve caught the tights a couple of times. The tights have remained intact, and I think that’s really impressive.

Can you buy Snag tights on Amazon?

At the minute, you can only buy Snag tights from the Snag website, so don’t be fooled by any of those listings that use a scattergun approach and put all kinds of brand names in their description.

I’ve successfully warm all the tights multiple times and so far have no experienced any ladders or rips. I’m really impressed!

Do Snag tights fit plus size people?

Snag Tights are for all people! They have their own sizing guide based on your height and measurements. This makes it so much easier to know which size to order. That means whatever size you are, there will be a pair of tights that fits you!

Snag Leggings

I haven’t got my hands on a pair of Snag leggings yet, but I seriously need to invest in some. Everyone I know who has tried them say they are the best leggings they have ever had. That’s quite a claim to make, so I plan on buying some soon, and don’t worry – I’ll review them here. The only thing I will say is that I’m kind of disappointed they only come in black. I’d have thought that with a company like Snag, there would be a rainbow when it comes to colour selection.

Hopefully the future has some more colours in store!
