I’m one of those people who loves to plan. I spend a lot of time on Pinterest, planning my dream home and thinking up new projects. I’ve currently got my bathroom close to how I want it but I always believe there’s room for improvement.

Is there anything worse than showering under a low-pressure, luke-warm dribble? I honestly don’t think there can be, but whenever I move house, that’s always the shower I’m greeted with. How do people live like this?

The cost of power shower installation isn’t even as high as you’d expect, just shop around (for the workmen and the shower). Having a higher pressure, hot and steamy shower will change your life. Honestly, it’s the only way to start your day feeling bright and fresh!

Plain white tiles might be a great way to stay neutral in order to sell your home, but if you’re planning on staying put, you need to add your own spin on things. Patterned tiles are currently on-trend. They come in two types: one type fits together to make a bigger, repeating pattern. The other involves a series of different patterns that clash but complement one another for a modern and unique look.

Fit New Blinds
If you’re not careful, blinds don’t always fare well in a bathroom. Yes they’re essential for some privacy, but the humidity of a bathroom can create mould on fabric blinds. Instead, install wipe clean blinds, so you don’t need to police the other members of the household, checking they’ve done their bit after a bath or shower. Hard surfaces are easier to keep on top of than fabric and less likely to go mouldy if someone forgets to open a window.

Luxury bathrooms always have the finishing touches of fancy accessories. Things like plants on the windowsills and stylish storage are the most important (and sensible) accessories to go for. I’m still a fan of wicker bathroom accessories. I find them timeless, long-lasting and easy to care for.
