Project Mc² Ultimate Spy Bag Review
My ten-year-old daughter loves science and loves the Project Mc² series (I think she’d quite like to be a bonus member in the cast), so she was really excited to have the opportunity for review the Project Mc² Ultimate Spy Bag!
Fans of the show may recognise the bag – it’s just like the one Adrienne Attoms wears in the show! Adrienne seems to be the character that my daughter Emma most identifies with, which is a happy coincidence for this review. I think she identifies with her sense of style and her interest in science (and hopefully not because she’s a secret spy and I’ve missed all the signs!)
The ultimate spy bag comes as a cool-looking handbag, with some disguised equipment for all your super-spying needs.
The bag stays clamped shut with a lock that unhooks like a clasp. Squeeze the buttons either side of the lock, to pop the clasp open and reveal what’s inside!

The Project Mc² Ultimate Spy Bag is packed with cool spy accessories masquerading as makeup! The kit contains:

- Compact & powder puff
- Container of blusher that doubles up as fingerprint dust
- Perfume blower
- Lipstick launcher tube
- Lipstick launcher
- Test tube stand
- Nail polish light
- Fingerprint cards
Taking fingerprints
Taking fingerprints was a lot of fun. Emma especially liked that she could apply the fingerprint dust to her face as blusher, as well as use it for the experiments.
The compact has a middle layer which rotates out and can be used a magnifying glass, which is great for spotting fingerprints. I’m pretty lax with the cleaning, so door handles and door frames were good places for us. When you’ve found a fingerprint, you can use the dust to help lift it. First you sprinkle on the dust, then use the perfume blower to get rid of the excess powder. Lift the fingerprint with clear tape by pressing it on the fingerprint.
We thought this was loads of fun!
What we thought of the Ultimate Spy Bag
We really loved the whole kit. The fingerprinting went down well, and Emma thought the whole kit was pretty cool. The nail varnish is a light, so when you click the concealed button on the lid, the bottle area glows.
I quite like the lipstick launcher, it has a tiny, pop-up cross-hare to help you aim before you fire at your target. The rubber lipstick lifts off and you can even hide a message inside before you put it back on and shoot it!
All in all, it’s a great buy and would make a cool gift for any STEM fans or lovers of the show. Available from Amazon.
