What is a Pindaloo?
A Pindaloo is a ‘U’ shaped tube that contains a ball. The idea is that you toss the ball out of one end then catch it with the other. Once you get good you can do all sort of impressive tricks, but it definitely takes a lot of practice! The Pindaloo arrives with the ball inside and a cap on each end so you don’t lose it when you’re not playing with it. I think this makes it a great portable toy to take on picnics and challenge other family members to see if they can master it!
Pindaloo Review
It might just be me, but I think it take a lot of practice. That said, it is fun to learn and I’ve been trying to get good at it by secretly practising every day! Not only is it fun to play with yourself, it’s fun to watch others attempt it too. If they’re good at it, it’s mesmerising, if they’re no expert, it’s pretty funny.
Once you get the knack, it is very satisfying to play with. The momentum makes the ball jump out and minimises the effort, it’s quite therapeutic really.
Not to be outdone by the kids, my husband also had a go. For something I’ve only just found out exists, it’s been a real hit with the whole family. I think it makes a great gift and everyone should know about it. It’s so addictive I can see it being the next craze for teens and tweens (and maybe mums and dads)!
