Our household is full of Disney-lovers, so when pop culture store Very Neko got in touch to work together, I knew I had to get some Disney merch for the kids. The store sells all kinds of cool accessories, clothes and collectables from a wide range of brands.
Being the Disney addicts that we are, I gravitated towards the Disney home section to get some bits for the children. Now that things are relaxing a bit, I’m expecting an influx of friends to come round for tea. I’m aiming to impress with my Disney wares.

Funko Disney Plates
This melamine plate set is mad by Funko in a classic Disney print. It contains four plates in different colours covered in the iconic Mickey mouse print. Each plate has an accent colour where one mouse contrasts the rest.
The plates are a great size for nibbles and I found even an adult’s portion of a buffet lunch fits on with ease.
Funko Disney Tumblers
You can’t just get the plates if you’re not going to get some tumblers to go with them! That’s my reasoning anyway, so I chose these beauties to complement my plates. I might as well go all out matching when I have the children’s friends over for tea!
Funko Disney Bowls
In the spirit of matching, I thought I’d better go the whole hog and get bowls too. That way, if we host a sleepover, they can have a Disney bowl in the morning. Or if they just stay for tea, I can serve up some pudding in a matching bowl.
The kids love them and I’m really happy I chose all the Mickey print stuff to them to eat off.
Harry Potter Playing Cards
Harry Potter is another strong favourite in our house. We’ve got loads of Harry Potter merch including the books, DVDs, pyjamas and much, much more. What we didn’t have were the playing cards though, which were a cool addition to our collection. The kids have been playing snap with them, and the 12-year-old has been having a go at solitaire.
Disney Villians “It’s Good to Be Bad” Mug
I chose this Disney Villains “It’s Good to Be Bad” mug for me, but it was quickly claimed by my daughter. I grew up watching The Little Mermaid, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty and I think the mug is fab. The only trouble is, I then encouraged my daughter to grow up watching the same films, so I guess I’ve got a fight on my hands (like a true villain).
DC Comics Batman POP! Mug
My son is a big DC Superheroes fan, and he especially likes Batman. As soon as I saw this mug, I knew I had to get it for him. He absolutely loves it and I think it looks pretty cool on my shelf too.
Frida Kahlo Minimalist Notebook
This final one was for me and I’m pleased to say no children have claimed it yet. I’m a bit of a stationery collector and notebooks are my thing. Although I’ll admit to hoarding notebooks, I do usually get round to using them eventually. This notebook is the next one I have my eye on.
