Jinxed Stitches – Wickedly Wonderful Makeup Storage Bags

It’s been a long time since I lusted over a makeup bag or brush roll, but here we are. I’m completely in love with my new gothic makeup storage and I was counting down the days ’til the postie knocked on my door.

Beccy, the gorgeous owner of the Jinxed Stitches Etsy shop (and mastermind behind all the designs she sells), let me pick a couple of her awesome designs to road test. The decision was hard, because honestly, everything is amazing, but I finally settled on a horoscope brush roll and a coffin-shaped makeup bag.

Here’s what I chose and what I thought:

‘Glampire’ Coffin Makeup Bag

The coffin makeup bag is a really inspire design. I love how original it looks compared to the usual floral pouch design on offer in most shops. I went with the ‘Glampire‘ text because for one, I love the gothy glam makeup look, and two, ever since watching Buffy as a teen I’ve been a bit keen on all things vampiric.

Because it’s all handmade, you can choose from loads of different colours and various slogans.

I’m totally in love with my makeup bag. It’s incredibly well made. Just by holding it, you can feel the quality and craftmanship that’s gone into its creation. The unique shape fits all your makeup essentials in, with the longer items like mascara and eyeliner sitting around the middle, and shorter items like blush and lipstick comfortable slotting in around them.

It’s a gorgeous addition to my makeup collection.

Capricorn Zodiac Brush Roll

I’m ashamed to admit that before I got my hands on this brush holder, I was cramming my brushes into a pouch. I’ve been on the hunt for a brush roll for a while, but none have really spoken to me like this one.

Being a new year’s eve baby, I’m a Capricorn on the zodiac and like to treat myself to glam depictions of the goat-fish. (You’d be surprised at the number of non-glam goat merch there is out there.) As soon as I saw this brush roll, I knew I had to have it. With a beautiful goat-girl hybrid adorning the cover of the case, it was everything I wanted from a brush storage roll.

Flipping over the brush roll allows you to see that it holds up to 32 brushes – plenty of room for your full collection. It even fits in fatter brushes, which I’ve found a struggle in the past with some mass-produced designs.

The Zodiac brush roll is available for all the signs, making a fab birthday present for any makeup-lovers in your life. Much like the Glampire bag above, this design can be ordered in tons of colours, giving it a really personalised feel.

Again, the quality is obvious from the minute you hold the brush roll, it feels expertly crafted and made with high quality materials.
