I love October; the leaves on the trees look so gorgeous, soup is an acceptable meal for any time of day, and no one complains when you put the heating on. Another great thing about October, is Halloween.
I was never really bothered about Halloween as a child. We didn’t go trick-or-treating and people in our neighbourhood didn’t decorate their houses, so I only started celebrating it when I had kids of my own.
My children are really into Halloween, and take their roles as scary little monsters pretty seriously (as you can probably tell).
Swizzels very kindly sent over this spooktacular sweety and photo prop hamper to help us get #HalloweenSorted.

The kids also claimed their favourite sweets, thankfully they picked a different bag each, which meant everyone got along nicely.
This year we’re going to have a little Halloween tea party and invite some friends over for the kids. We’re planning on handing out some spooky sweets from our hamper to our ghoulish guests and maybe watching a monstrous movie (like Hotel Transylvania).
