We currently live in a world that can only really be described as busy. If someone you know isn’t busy with work or their home life, the chances are you probably think something is up.
This is particularly true for those of us who also have a family. Juggling work, personal time and time for children can be extremely hectic, it’ll therefore come as no surprise to you that working mums are 40% more stressed than anybody else. We’re sure working dads are also just as stressed.
But, there are a few things you can do in your day-to-day life to help combat this stress. Our tips below will help you with everything from school parties to having to send a parcel when it comes to de-stressing your life.
Make a List
This may sound a little basic, but those people out there that seemingly have their lives together live by lists. Try grabbing a diary, or even writing one out on your phone’s note app, this will allow you to write down what needs to be done each week, and which ones are more important. Ticking them off will also give you a fabulous sense of satisfaction.
Now, you may think multitasking is a great thing to do as you can tick of multiple things on your list. However, it’s possibly one of the worst things you could do when trying to get stuff done. This is because you’ll leave space for mistakes, meaning rather than doing one thing well, you’ll do five noot so well. So, stick to one task and watch your mind clear a bit and things get done quicker.
These are now on your phone, meaning you’ll always have it with you. This also means you can add any appointments, birthday parties or important things you need to send into the calendar and set an alert, meaning you’ll never miss or double book anything again.
Schedule me Time
It can be so easy to get caught up in doing things for everyone else, but make sure you take time out for yourself. Whether it’s a relaxing two-hour soak in the tub, an hour to read a book each night, or a trip out with friends for lunch every Saturday, make sure you schedule your me time. This will help reduce your stress levels, which will help you out with every other aspect of your week. You’ll thank yourself for it in the end.
