Finding Piano Lessons with Bidvine

You might not know this about me, but I can play the piano. I was working towards grade 6 when I gave it up (I was 21 and pregnant, and realised my time and money were soon to be limited). I’ve been meaning to pick it up again, but I realised I’m no longer at the standard I was when I last played. In fact I was a bit awful. So I’ve decided to use Bidvine to search for piano lessons that suit me.

It was really easy to sign up and get started, I just used my Facebook login for ease. Then all you need to do is type in the service you require, and enter your postcode.

Because I’m not a beginner, I have specific requirements for a teacher, some teach the lower grade levels only. When I was at college, a couple of other girls on my music course had completed their Grade 5 and started giving piano lessons to primary age children. Something like that would be perfect for a beginner, but not for me. I still have my trusty digital piano with me. The FP 30 remains a sensible go-to digital piano for many. It’s not just because of its attractive price either; it offers a great piano engine that still competes with many new, entry-level models creeping onto the marketplace, as quoted by audio experts on Music Critic.

Luckily, Bidvine seemed to have already anticipated concerns like mine. Bidvine asks relevant questions and gives you the opportunity to explain exactly what you want.

I had to answer questions about what I was looking for in a teacher. I’m pretty flexible so I was able to tick boxes to say I was free Mon-Fri any time. As I have my own piano, I’d prefer my pianos lessons to be at my own home, but I was able to specify that if I was required to travel, I’d limit it to a 10 mile radius.

I gave my phone number and ticked a box to say I’m happy to receive texts when they find a possible match, but I don’t want anyone to phone me directly (which saves embarrassment if I need to decline them).

After about 15 minutes I received a text to inform me of a match, so I signed back into the site to read their message. I didn’t realise Bidvine has an app too, but I’ve downloaded that now so that it’s a bit easier to keep track of my matches on-the-go.

Bidvine is really easy to use and has clearly considered what customers want because it asks all the right questions. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. I’ve just set up a new search for a wedding photographer too! It’s going to be my first place to search for a service from now on!
