Being the beauty lover that I am, I love to try new services for buying makeup. When Chemist 4U asked me to try out their cosmetics section of the site I was really excited!
The first thing I noticed was that the range of make-up was really wide. I wouldn’t have expected a pharmacy site to have so much on offer. Some of the brands they stock are Elizabeth Arden, Max Factor and OPI (to name but a few). I was also incredibly impressed with the price, lots of products were around 50% less than the RRP (and some were cheaper than that!).
I was awarded some credit to test the service so I set about choosing my treats. I chose to go for versatile items that I could easily integrate into my existing make up collection.
I chose the Maybelline Fit Me matte poreless powder because I’d heard so many good things about it.
I tried it for the first time yesterday and it left a lovely finish. I normally like translucent fixing powder but this completely took the unwanted shine away from my face and left me with flawless skin.
I went for a red Max Factor lipstick because it’s classic. I love the Hollywood Glamour that Max Factor brings, I’m a big fan on their lipstick, I tried some a few months back and fell in love. Definitely a makeup bag staple.
Rimmel is my go-to drug store make up brand when I’m buying mascara. A lot of the time I’ll buy mascara around the £20+ mark, but on months where that’s a bit of an extravagance, Scandaleyes comes a close second.
I love an interesting nail art kit. I think I should have been a beauty therapist when I left school. This Denim inspired kit from Ciate had me swooning.
I couldn’t get a great photo of the confetti piece in this OPI nail polish, but I was super excited to see it as an option when I was browsing. I had to have it, OPI always delivers as far as I’m concerned.
Bright lip colours are always a show stealer for me. I have about 4 nudes and about 400 brights. Lip crayons always feel playful and fun (even though they are probably quite similar to regular lipstick). You’ll see these featuring in some selfies soon!
And that’s my lot! Do you think I chose well?
