The summer holidays are almost over, and my kids go back to school next week. We’ve almost bought everything we need and we’re excited for what the new school year might bring.
My daughter is starting a new school, so it’s difficult to gauge what the other kids will have. It can be hard to make sure your child has school supplies they actually like, while avoiding getting them something identical to six other children in the class.
This is where personalised things really come into their own.

She’s already got her school bag and lunch box sorted, and the new school doesn’t seem to require children to take their own pencils, so we we’re on the hunt for other personalised items. Luckily, the kind people at Ityourstory got in touch and offered to gift my son and my daughter a personalised product of their choice (one each).
Emma decided on a notebook. She always likes to carry a bit of paper on her for doodling, making notes and writing stories at wet play-time, so a personalised notebook seemed like the perfect choice.
The process was super easy, we chose the notebook design we wanted and uploaded this photo of Emma:

All we needed was a clear shot, and the people at Itsyourstory do the cropping and adding it to the item. We love how the book turned out. Emma especially, because we sometimes call her ‘Doodle’ at home (Emma doesn’t really lend itself to many nicknames).

Since Greg is only 3, we went for something more practical – a water bottle. We sent in this photo:

And this was the end product, which we all think is totally brilliant and hilarious in equal measure!

He really is a cheeky monkey, too!
The service was fast, and I think their cropping skills were spot on. I’ll use them again next time we want some more supplies with an individual edge. All in all I’m really happy with these personalised back-to-school essentials and I can’t wait to send my kids off to school/nursery to use them!
