Pregnancy is a wonderful time for anyone, and there’s a lot to be excited about, loads of planning to do, and lots of things to look forward to, but despite all the positives, it’s important to know that it’s often tricky (to say the least) to feel your best during those nine months or so. That’s due to things like sleepless nights, nausea, not being comfy in your clothes, not being able to eat your favorite foods, and so on. Pregnancy affects people in different ways, but whatever it is you’re feeling, the good news is there are some simple ways to feel your best throughout, so keep reading to find out more.

Move In Whatever Way Feels Good
Exercise during pregnancy isn’t about pushing your limits – that would be a bad idea. Instead, it’s about doing what you can to make sure your body feels strong, mobile, and that you’ve got enough energy to do what you need to do. So if high-energy workouts aren’t your thing (and you’re going to be tired during pregnancy, so that could well be the case), try some gentle yoga, a walk around the block, or even a quick stretch in the morning because moving even a little bit can help boost your mood and make you more flexible, which should reduce aches and pains.
Something else that can be ideal for pregnant women is to go swimming – it gives you a full-body workout, but because you’re in the water you’ll feel weightless, so you need to put in less effort for the same great results; it’s no wonder it’s recommended during pregnancy.
Invest In Comfortable Clothes
When you’re pregnant, especially in the later stages when you’ve got a very noticeable bump, having comfortable and, crucially, supportive clothing can make all the difference and ensure you’re able to feel your best during pregnancy. That’s why it’s important to buy proper and high-quality maternity clothing – and it’s not just because it’s going to make you feel comfortable either; having great clothes means you’ll look good, and that’s going to boost your confidence at a time when it might be waning a little.
The right clothing can help you because you’ll feel supported and look good all at once, and it’s best to look for clothes with soft, stretchy fabric that won’t dig in or pinch you. In fact, you should be able to find clothes that work for you because they’re just like your usual style, just with a little more room for comfort (for you and your baby).
Prioritise Rest
Pregnancy can sometimes feel like a lot of hard work – and it is. Don’t forget, you’re literally creating another person, and that takes a lot of energy, and your body is going to be working harder than it ever has before to get it done right.
Because of that, you’re going to need to get plenty of rest, and get as much of it as you need, when you need it. Take little breaks through the day to really rest – that is, lie down and take a nap if you can (although just taking a moment to close your eyes and be still can also be helpful if that’s all you can manage) – is crucial. If sleeping at night is tricky, invest in a pregnancy pillow and mattress to give you extra support, and that should really help too.
