Everyone has a standout toy they remember from their childhood. I remember the pull-along Little Snoopy from Fisher Price, which I think might have been my older sister’s before it was handed down to me.
I’d pull Little Snoopy along with me everywhere I went and he’d even make the trip to nursery or my grandma’s house!
I was delighted to find out that some of these retro favourites have made a return – including Little Snoopy! Better still, I have a toddler who is the perfect age to get full enjoyment out of them!
I was lucky enough to be sent a couple of these retro inspired toddler toys to let my toddler put to the test.
Fisher Price Little Snoopy
Little Snoopy looks exactly how I remembered. Orlaith was absolutely delighted to be presented with this pull-along-pet and has been ‘taking her doggy for a walk’ every day since she got her hands on him.
When you pull him, he wobbles along with his ears and tail moving, and makes little yapping noises like a real puppy!
It’s suitable for kids aged 12 month+ but Orlaith is almost two-and-a-half and really loves hers.
Fisher Price Children’s Cash Register
The children’s cash register is another classic I remember from my youth. I don’t think I had one, but I remember my friends having them at their houses, and I have a vague memory of my nursery having one too. Definitely a staple of my toddlerhood!
The cash register is lots of fun, and comes with six brightly coloured coins. When you drop them in the slot, you have to press a button to make them go into the cash register, then they’ll either come back out or drop into the drawer depending on if you press ‘sale’ or ‘change’.
Orlaith is really keen on this toy too and has been playing with it every day. The coins are chunky enough for little hands to hold on to well and the functions are easy to grasp.
This toy is suitable for ages 2+ and that seems spot on for my little girl.
