Build a garden room

If you regularly work from home, you can use the outdoor room as a garden office. Then when you’re not working, it can double up as a games room, sitting room, gym to garden bar. Install solar lighting
A pitch black garden isn’t very inviting at the best of times, but on those days when darkness comes early, it can make want to ignore the garden and stay inside. While only certain activities can be done on those super-cold nights, a well lit garden is a great way to encourage you to spend more evening outdoors on those days where the weather is mild but the sun set early on.
Lighting your garden doesn’t have to incur a big electricity bill. Instead you can opt for solar powered lights and let the sun provide all the energy you need. When you look out into you garden it’ll look like it’s been illuminated by tiny pixies and you’ll be desperate to sit outdoors.

Buy a hot tub
A hot tub can be a bit of a commitment because they need to be cleaned really regularly. If you don’t mind adding a few extra minutes of scrubbing and disinfecting to you day, a hot tub can be a real asset. It’s a great place to kick back and relax your muscles after a hard day. Allow the heat to wash over you and the jets to seriously chill you out while you look at the night sky.
The great thing about hot tubs is that if you get a hot tub gazebo or any other type of shelter, they can be used all year round. You might want to take an extra thick dressing gown and slippers out with you on snowy nights though!
Invest in shelter and heating
A small gazebo won’t break the bank, but it will break the path of wind and rain if you’re having an outdoor gathering. It’s amazing the different a shelter can make in your garden when the elements suddenly turn against you.
For evenings that start of warm but quickly turn chilly, rather than go indoors, you might be better turning on a heater. There are loads of garden heating options, from halogen heaters to fire pits that double up as barbecues. They’re brilliant to have on hand for when you’re entertaining in the garden but don’t want the temperature to ruin the fun.
