Anxiety can be difficult to manage in any situation. However, the stress of a workplace can often be particularly challenging. Whether it is the job itself, the journey, or the people. You may want to consider looking for other jobs if you are finding yours very stressful. However, if you are eager to keep persevering, then here are some steps you can take to try and make your day a little easier.
If you are anxious at work because you have suffered an injury, you should speak to an injury lawyer. No one should have to feel unsafe at work for any reason.
Take breaks from devices
For many of us, working means sitting in front of a computer all day. Often, with a work phone at one side of us and our mobile on the other side.
Get up and walk once an hour, make a drink, or get outside. You should also try and leave any personal devices in your bag.
One excellent productivity tool that encourages regular breaks is Pomodoro – you work for 25 minutes and then break for 5. Although this seems like a lot of breaks, many people end up getting a lot more work done.

Drink water and eat healthily
Drinking a lot of water can help you to feel healthy and centered. It can also help you to concentrate.
You should also eat healthily while at work. Offices are notorious for lots of unhealthy snacks. However, these can affect how we think and feel. Furthermore, make sure you don’t skip food. Remember, breaks mean we get more done while we are working, so win-win!
Stretch
Stretching at your desk, or at any place of work, can be great for stress.
For example, while sitting at your desk, look to the four corners of your computer to stretch your neck. This helps to relieve some of that pressure from looking down onto devices.
Communicate
Be open and let people know how you are feeling. You should speak to your manager as well as a friend. Sharing your worries might make a big difference. Furthermore, it can be a relief to learn that other people are also struggling to get everything done.
Breathe
If you are feeling anxious, try some deep breathing. In through the nose and out through the mouth. Or try box breath, in for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds and then out for 4 seconds.
You could also try meditating. You can do this in the bathroom, in your car, or your office chair if you are comfortable. There are some great tutorials online. This may be a great thing to do during your Pomodoro break!
Make lists
If you are overwhelmed, write everything done. A physical list could help you to feel organized, and it feels great to tick things off. You could also try doing your MITs every morning. Which stands for Most Important Tasks. Choose two or three tasks to do first thing in the morning, they could be difficult jobs, but at the end of the day, you will know that the important things are done.
