Since my son acquired a kid’s spy kit, all he needed for his first spy mission was some children’s walkie talkies. We were very lucky to get to test out these Discovery Walkie Talkies for review as they’re really good and super easy to use.
To get them going all you really have to do is get them out the box and add batteries (you’ll need a pack of 6 AAA batteries).
Discovery Walkie Talkies Review
These lightweight kid’s walkie talkies are simple to use, meaning the fun can start immediately.
The walkie talkies have 3 channels to communicate on, but we only bothered with the first one because that involved no set up. They also have a belt clip, a night light and ringing call alerts which I think makes them appear like something someone really important might use.
Would I recommend these children’s walkie talkies?
I think these walkie talkies are fabulous. There’s very little faffing about with the set-up of them – basically, you add batteries then they work.
It’s fun to use the ringing call alert and the nightlight comes in handy when you’re on a stake out mission. The walkie talkies themselves are very lightweight but don’t feel flimsy and I think the added features make them really look the part.
The walkie talkies themselves have an impressive range and the communication is clear from any position in our house or garden.
I’d definitely recommend these children’s walkie talkies, just remember to add batteries to your shopping cart!
