There’s thousands of different options here, but our suggestion would be to find one that adapts as your baby grows. Some fixed-in-position cots may look beautiful, but once your child starts learning to sit up on their own, there’s a danger that they might pull themselves over the sides.
Stay one step ahead of any adventurous infants by buying an adjustable cot that allows for the base to be lowered. You may have to lower it several times in the first year alone, so even if an adjustable model is a little more expensive, it will probably work out the better value option soon enough. If they’re used to their bedtime routine, it won’t feel like they are somewhere different if their own cot grows with them.
