Tween daughters are incredibly hard to buy for, and everyone knows it. They’re a little too young for the bath and beauty sets you might buy for a teenage girl, but they’re a little too old for the sort of stocking fillers you might have bought them a couple of years earlier.
Thankfully, Who’s That Girl have bridged that gap with their gorgeous tween beauty range. Trendy and exciting enough to give to young teens, but fun and funky enough to wrap up that difficult 8-12 age range.
With my daughter being 9 years old, she was the perfect age to test out some products and we were very kindly sent some for the purpose of this review.

Who’s That Girl Glitter Roots
Hair glitter is a coveted beauty product for tween girls. It instantly transforms a regular braid into glamorous mermaid hair.
We’ve tried hair glitter in the past, but it’s always come either in a tube or with a mascara want, neither ideal for application. I was really pleased to see the applicator wand in this set is more like a paddle with a forked tip to help comb and spread the glitter through the hair.
It was really easy to apply, I plaited Emma’s hair then brushed this onto the roots and waited for it to dry. To get it out you just dry brush and most of it disappears (I say disappears, but it did land on our bathroom floor, so have a vaccuum at the ready). One wash and it was fully gone.
Who’s That Girl Mood Lips
Weirdly, this lipstick looks clear with a blue tinge in the packet, but when heated on lips changes to a bright pink colour. I love it and so does my daughter, it’s more like a lip balm than a traditional lipstick, and isn’t too garish for young faces like some kids’ lipstick can look.
The lipstick goes on clear and after a few minutes it changed to sort of cherry red, before settling as a reddish pink. I didn’t expect it to change with such obvious results so I was really impressed. My daughter thinks it’s really cool too.
Who’s That Girl Beauty Tattoo
I was expecting these beauty tattoos to match the colour corresponding to the lid, but they’re actually all black and resemble eyeliner pens with differently shaped stamping tips. The shapes in this kit are stars, hearts and crescent moons.
The stamps are simple to use and wash off easily. The kit also contains shiny foiled freckles and shapes, which we haven’t tried yet as my daughter is set on saving them for a special occasion!
I think Who’s That Girl beauty products are a lovely range that fills the gap in the market for stocking fillers for tween and young teen girls. They’re the perfect ‘little extra’ to stuff in a stocking!
