After spending hours perusing parenting blogs, I started to wonder what makes them so popular? What keeps me searching for more and more devour and digest, whilst still returning to old faithful ones that have kept me engaged for so long?
Then it struck me. We’re all the same. All of us mummy bloggers out there have the same goal in mind and the same wants and needs, no matter how diverse our personalities and cultures.
We want what’s best for our children. We want to keep them healthy and happy. We want them to reach their potential, live fulfilling lives and not make the mistakes that we made.
We also want a full night’s sleep. We want our pre-pregnancy bodies back, our pre-children relationship and our pre-baby budget (even though we would never dream of whimsically frittering £50 on some shoes we can’t walk in these days).
We all understand one another’s struggles, have empathy for the parent sitting up all night with the teething tot and cringe along with your toddler’s faux pas.
So I just wanted give all of you parent bloggers out there a shout out. You’re doing a great job, making us laugh and keeping us sane. You help us understand that we are not alone and you inspire us to be better parents.
Parent bloggers, if you haven’t already, come and say hello! I want to meet you all!
