Wally the Washer Review & Giveaway!

We were very kindly sent our very own copy of Wally the Washer from Drumond Park to play on one of our family’s game nights.

Around the middle of each week, when the children are flagging from school and nursery, we have an early tea and play a game together to help get them through the rest of the week.

This week we were lucky enough to add a new game to our collection – Wally the Washer!

Wally the Washer – What’s in the Box?

Inside each box there should be Wally the Washer himself (obviously), the kit to assemble four washing lines, five items of clothing in red, yellow, green, and blue, a peg for your nose, and a dirty sock! Batteries are needed, but not included, so make sure you’ve got some before you play!

How to play

The aim of the game is to fill your washing line first. Pick your washing line colour and collect the matching clothes, but watch out for that stinky sock!

To play the game, set Wally the Washer going with his load of clothes and when it’s your turn, press the button the top to stop him. When the clothes fall out, collect the colour that matches your washing line and put the others back in the drum.

If you’re unlucky enough to get the dirty sock, not only do you have to put all the clothes back in the drum, you have to put the peg on your nose until the next time the sock falls out!

The person who fills their washing line first is the winner! It’s a four-player game, so you can keep playing until second and third place have been awarded.

What we Thought of Wally the Washer

Wally went down a treat in our house and proved very popular with my youngest. He thought the smelly sock and peg-on-the-nose was the funniest thing ever, and took great delight in wearing it when he got the sock!

The game was easy to set up, simple to understand, and loads of fun. The game length is pretty short but very addictive and we played it several times in a row during our games night. The kids love it and so do I, it’s a fab table-top game to add to our collection.

Wally the Washer would make a fab Christmas present, so I’ve teamed up with Drummond Park for a giveaway where one lucky winner can snag their own copy in time for Christmas!
