Mini Micro Scooter Review
I’ve got a 3 year old who is really tall for his age, he wears age 4-5 clothes and we were worried that the smaller, Mini Micro Scooter would be too small. After asking a few other mums, we decided to go for it anyway because it was fine for their children.
Greg (the little one) received his Mini Micro Scooter on his 3rd birthday and it really was the perfect size for him. It took him about a minute to understand what to do and was a pro within the next five. I’m not saying this to boast about his intelligence, I believe the product design is the reason. The scooter is so lightweight, it’s not a chore to lift or even carry along with your child when they inevitably get too worn out to scoot.
The design with two wheel at the front lends itself well to those who are a bit crap at balance (aka small children). The fact that it balances on its own is no accident. We’ve used cheaper scooters before and they just don’t compare. Even scooters that are similar in design with two wheels at the front feel clunky and heavy in comparison and are far too tiring for kids to use for long.
With toddler scooters, there are often similar looking designed, but don’t be fooled! I have been! This scooter is made of aluminium, so even when other scooters claim to be lightweight, you can feel the difference when you’re carrying a scooter and a child. In reality the weight difference probably isn’t much more than 1lb, but it feels like a tonne one the long walk home from the shops. Trust me, I’ve been there.
All in all, it’s certainly the best scooter you can get for a small child who will want to scoot daily. If you’re looking for a toddler scooter, this is it and it’ll last them until they are 5. If you have a child who is big for their age but 3 or 4 years old, this is definitely the size you need, the handlebar will accommodate them. If you’re considering buying it for a child’s 5th birthday, I would go for the Maxi Micro Deluxe Scooter purely because it will last a few more years and grow with your child.

Maxi Micro Scooter Review
The Maxi Micro Scooter is designed for children aged 6-12. My daughter (another one who’s tall for her age) has had it since she was 5. She’s 9 now and still uses it every day and there’s still room for it to grow with her.
It’s similar in design to the Mini Micro Scooter, so I won’t repeat myself. Obviously it’s bigger for bigger children, but again it weighs next to nothing, meaning you can carry it to school for the school run and it’s not a pain in the bum. I hook mine over my arm like a shopping bag. It’s really light!
Again, in comparison to similar products, this wins hands down because of it’s weight and ease of use. Cheaper scooters for bigger kids are twice as heavy. No only that, but they feel every lump and bump of the pavement both the Maxi Micro Deluxe Scooter and the Mini Micro Deluxe Scooter just glide.
With both micro scooters, the kids can pick up quite a speed so you might want to consider helmets and other protective wear. The micro scooters are easy to control and easy to steer so I suspect you see far fewer falls than with other scooters.
All in all I’d say both are a 10/10. It’s important that you know both of these scooters were bought with my own money and the Micro Deluxe Scooter people probably don’t even know I exist, so it goes without saying that I have no affiliation with these guys and all opinions are my own.
