Are you looking for the perfect Christmas gift idea for a little girl aged around 5 or 6? I’ve compiled a list of gift ideas for all price ranges to help you find something that’ll bring that wow-factor on Christmas Day.
Whether you’re looking for stocking fillers, or something a little bigger, this list has got you covered.
Christmas Gift Guide for 5 & 6 Year Old Girls
As the mother of a 5-year-old girl, who will be 6 in a couple of months, I feel like I’m more than qualified to make these recommendations. I’ve been sounding her out for weeks to see exactly what she likes, what her friends like and what would be a dream present to unwrap on Christmas Day.
Below are my top picks for what to buy your 5-year-old for Christmas.
A beautiful Christmas dress

This gorgeous dress from Blade & Rose is the perfect gift for Christmas Day (although you might not be able to wait and give it to you little one straight away – which is exactly what I did). It comes in a range of sizes, from 6 months, right up to 6 years, which is perfect if you want a pair of matching little siblings.
The dress is made with soft, high quality fabric and I can confirm the fit is as expected and little Orlaith loves wearing hers.

Stitch plush with a surf board

Stitch is having a moment in our house. To be fair, that moment has lasted at least 2 years, but still, we like Stitch. This Stitch Plush is a fab toy for little Stitch fans out there and I just love the surf board. It’s not like any of the other Stitch toys we’ve seen.
He’s super soft and squishy and will make a great bed time companion because you can’t help but give this little guy a cuddle.
Mushmeez Taba Squishies Fidget Toy

Squishy fidget toys are a big hit in our house too (thanks YouTube) and these fun Taba Squishies from Mushmeez are going to be a real hit on Christmas Day. There are lots of different food inspired styles to collect, and I’m pretty enamoured with the hot dog version in the picture. You can also get other styles including burgers, s’mores and donuts. They’re sticky, stretchy and a sensory treat for all fidget-lovers.

Stick Rolls Sticki Book

These wearable and shareable sticker bracelets are exactly what creative little girls love. This Sticki Book lets you build your sticker collection and gives you somewhere to store it and peruse what you have. There are rare and super rare stickers your little collectors can get their hands on and the book has laminated pages packed with activities.

Mood Bears

These soft, plush bears are designed to get kids talking about their feelings. There are 8 brightly coloured bears to collect, each one represents an emotion such as nervous, happy or silly. They also come with a poem stitched into their paws.
Mood Bears are super soft and cuddly, but they’re useful for connecting with your child too, and help them explore and talk about their emotions.

Lite-Brite Color Pop Stitch

As I’ve mentioned, we’re big Stitch fans in this house, so a Stitch Lite Brite is the perfect gift for my little girl. It comes with 6 templates so there are plenty of options for which one you’ll make and display. The vibrant colours make this fun to complete and a lovely bright lit up picture to display.
Our Generation Mandy

Mandy is ready for a sleepover party and she’s dressed all cosy and warm. Our Generation dolls are such great Christmas gifts for any child that loves a doll. These stand at 46cm tall, and have long, flowing hair. Each one comes with their own outfit style and their bodies are soft and huggable ( so Mandy really is a great sleepover companion!)
The Our Generation range has been my favourite to buy presents from for a while. The dolls have so much personality and the huge range of accessories means you can keep expanding their world and opening up possibilities of more imaginative play.

Our Generation Bunny and Hutch play set

While we’re on the subject of the Our Generation world, you need to see this cute bunny. We’re a household with pet bunnies, so it’s only right our dolls should get one too. This playset comes with a fluffy bunny, a hutch and a selection of tasty veggies to give the bunny a healthy diet. It’s an excellent toy for teaching proper pet care.

Play in Choc

This allergen-free chocolate should be on everyone’s Christmas list. Chocolate is always a welcome gift, especially organic chocolate that comes with a surprise toy. The surprise is a 3D puzzle you put together yourself and it comes with a cool fact card about animals too.
Another great bonus is the packaging is zero waste and totally recyclable, which is nice for anyone eco-minded.

Aqua Puffs

Make ornaments and bag charms with this cool Princess & Unicorn Aqua Puff set. Just pick your design, colour it in with the pens provides and wet it with the water pen to watch it swell. Once it has puffed, just leave it to dry for a few hours and then you can add a keychain or string to turn it into a keyring, bag charm or decoration.
You Can Build a Superteam

This gift is great for creativity and teamwork. It’s a gorgeous craft box with a twist – once you’ve created your super heroes, you can also play the game included – The Chase to Power. This is a fantastic bit of family fun and perfect for Christmas day. The collaborative spirit of designing the characters should help keep sibling squabbles at bay, and playing the game will bring the whole family together.

Yoto Mini Player with K-Pop Demon Hunters Card

We have the Yoto Mini Player and I can’t praise it enough. Screen-free entertainment that gets kids engaged with stories and music? Yes please! If you buy the headphones, you can take it on car journeys or as calming entertainment for holidays.
We like to listen to our Yoto mini best before bed. It’s a great way to get Orlaith to wind down, but still keep her entertained in that bit of time where her mind is busy and she needs something to focus on before she goes to sleep.

An exciting addition to the music range is the K-Pop Demon Hunters card. Admittedly, it’s a bit exciting for bed time, but she can’t get enough of those K-pop hits! You can also sign up to Yoto club from £3.99 per month, which gives you access to loads of benefits.
