Big boobs and hot weather really don’t mix. Add an underwire to that and you’re in a miserable predicament. Thankfully, I was sent some Sugar Candy bras to review just in time for the heatwave and let me tell you they are a gamechanger!
These Sugar Candy bras have everything you’ve every dreamed of in a bra – no wire, good lift and great support. They don’t dig in, they don’t seem half as hot as the bras I’ve previously been wearing and they’re easy to take care of. Keep reading for my full Sugar Candy bra review (big bust edition).
Sugar Candy Bra Review

So I’ve mentioned above that I’m a bit busty. I think I’m around a 40G, but I haven’t been measured for a couple of years (naughty, I know). I based this measurement on the size I ordered from the Sugar Candy site and went for 3XL in both the basic bra and the posh bra.
I chose the basic bra in green and the post bra in black and can confirm both bras are ace.
The packaging was perfect, the bras arrived in a recyclable paper envelope, wrapped in more paper. I like it when packaging is recyclable and easy to get rid of. I just folded it up and popped it in the recycling – no fuss.
Sugar Candy Posh Bra Review
The Sugar Candy Posh bra is made of a stretchy, breathable fabric, has chunky straps and no underwire. All promising things to have in a bra, but I feel all bra wearers are aware that a promising start doesn’t always translate to a good bra.
I’m really pleased to report this bra is everything I dreamed of and more. I’m not exaggerating when I say the two bras I’ve had from Sugar Candy are the most comfortable bras I’ve ever worn. I can’t quite believe how much I’m in love with these bras and I’ll be adding to my collection in the near future.

You’ll have to excuse the cropped photo, I don’t normally post photos of myself in my undies, but I just had to show off the fit. The band is flat against my body and my the cups lift my boobs way better (and cooler ) than any underwire could have.
Below is another photo of how well supported rather large boobs are.

I’m honestly questioning if it’s some kind of magic spell!
The “Posh” style bra has a satiny top that does, in fact, make it look posh. The straps are broad and strong, which I think is really important when you’ve got heavy boobs. It means you can be properly supported without anything digging in.

Sugar Candy Basic Bra Review
The basic bra is very similar to the posh style, but it doesn’t have the satin style top to the bra, it’s the same texture all over. Both styles of bras have a crossover of fabric as part of the cup, which must be how they get such good support and lift. The photo below shows how those two folds fit in the cup. It’s easier to see on the green bra, so I’ll you show you that photo since black fabric doesn’t seem to show details well in photographs.

You can also get a better look at how thick the band is too. Absolutely no chance of that band digging in.
As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been wearing these bras in a heatwave and I can’t believe the difference. The bras are made to lift and separate your boobs, so absolutely no sweaty discomfort, even if you’re particularly buxom.

I think there needs to be an honorable mention of the back fastening. There are four hooks, I think that this adds to the support and helps stop anything digging in too. I can’t believe the sort of bras I’ve been suffering through until I got my hands on these. Believe me when I say I’m never going back.

The bras come with a little wash bag, and the washing instructions are printed on the bra itself, so you’re not dealing with any annoying tags. When I say these guys have thought of everything, I really mean it.
Final Thoughts on Sugar Candy Bras
In case you haven’t guessed from what I’ve already said, I’m really, really pleased with these bras and I will be adding to my collection. The brand really do think of everything, from recyclable packaging, to printed washing instructions and no tags. Everything about these bras is perfect and I want more!
As a plus size person with a plus size rack, I can’t rave about these bras enough.
