In my opinion, you can’t beat a ready meal when you’re in a rush but want something totally tasty. That’s why I was so excited to hear about MJ’s Diner bringing out this awesome range of air fryer ready meals. In fact, I didn’t even know there was such a thing as an air fryer ready meal, so it was doubly good news for me!

Since the running costs of absolutely everything have shot up in the past couple of years, it seems like the air fryer is everyone’s preferred way to cook. It’s quick, it’s easy and most importantly it’s loads cheaper to run that heating a huge oven. Air fryers are here to stay and it’s about time more of our favorite food can be cooked in them!
I was delighted to receive some MJs Diner air fryer ready meals to try out. Taste testing is my favourite part of the job!

Do The MJ’s Diner Air Fryer Ready Meals Live Up To The Hype?

The aim of the game was to make a line of ready meals that are traditional favourites and fakeaways. I must admit, they’ve absolutely nailed it. The chicken nuggets and fries and the southern fried popcorn chicken meals are almost identical to those that you might buy from certain drive-thru restaurants. My kids were very keen on them, and I was happy because they’re loads cheaper and much lower in calories.
I’ve been a big fan of the salt and pepper style fakeaway meals, especially the salt and pepper chicken chunks with crinkle cut chips. That’s my usual order from the Chinese takeaway down the road, so having something almost identical that I could cook at home (for a fraction of the cost and calories) is a real game-changer!

I also loved the all-day breakfast. It’s a big portion and definitely keeps you full well past lunch. What I like about these meals is that you can add things to them that you’d normally have in your cupboard. I had the breakfast as it came but added a bit of sauce. I reckon if I added a couple of eggs and a tin of beans then I could have bulked it out enough to split between me and my husband – making it even better value!
I was thinking along the same lines for a lot of these meals actually. The meals themselves are sufficient as they are – they taste amazing and you won’t go hungry. But they can easily be paired with items from your cupboard to either deal with a super-size appetite, or be stretched across two plates. I genuinely love the MJ’s Diner air fryer meals that I’ve tried and think the portion sizes are spot on.

Final Thoughts
After trying lots of meals from the Mj’s Diner Air Fryer Ready Meals range, I can confidently say they’re worth a buy. Their taste isn’t the only attractive thing about them, they’re a really affordable range that offers takeaway tastes fewer calories. An all-round winner that I’ll be adding to my regular shopping list.
