I’ve been lucky enough to receive some festoon lights for the purpose of this review. I’ve been wanting some for ages because I just think they’re a beautiful way to add light to your garden.
The festoon lights from 4Lite are just fabulous. They come with a four year warranty with warm-white LED bulbs, or if you buy the 4lite festoon lamp holders, you can choose your bulbs (including smart bulbs), extendable to up to 200m, robust and versatile. Basically everything you could possibly need from beautiful garden festoon lights.
4Lite Festoon Lights – What’s in the Box?
The festoon lights arrive nicely packaged in quite a neat box. The bulbs are well packaged at the bottom of the box and the wires are on the top. Mine arrived in perfect condition, so you don’t need to worry about bulbs being delivered!
The bulbs aren’t screwed in to begin with, and you shouldn’t screw them until you’ve installed the wire, or you’ll risk smashing them – trust me!
There are 20 spaces for bulbs and you get 22 bulbs, as if they anticipate you’ll do it wrong first and smash a bulb (that’s what I did).
They’re relatively easy to install and they need plugging in, so make sure you’ve got a power outlet nearby.

Overall, I’m really pleased with these festoon lights. You can tell they’re great quality, but the long warranty should give you an indication of quality too. The longer the warranty, the more confidence I have in the product!
I really like the fact you can have smart bulbs – if you choose the festoon lamp holders – that can create the perfect ambience when you’re entertaining. I like the more rustic looking bulb in mine, it suits the style of our house and interior (even though the lights are being used outside, I feel it pulls everything together).
You can also extend these lights, so if we move and have a different garden space, I’d be very tempted to buy some more and illuminate the whole area.
