It allows you to earn up to 20% cashback on certain purchases and supports loads of shops you’re likely to use in your everyday life.
How does JamDoughnut Work?
Instead of buying directly through the retailer and waiting for cashback like other services, JamDoughnut cashback is a little different. It works by purchasing vouchers through the app and then using those vouchers at the till of your favourite shops.
The great news is, you can choose the voucher amount, so you won’t be out of pocket. If you do buy a voucher and have some change, that just stays in your JamDoughnut wallet to be used next time you’re buying from that shop.
This means if you like to plan ahead, it’s great for your shopping. It also means, even if you’re a bit more of a spontaneous shopper, you can buy a voucher while you’re in the queue and use it by the time you get to the till. I find I do this in Primark quite a lot. I go in for some cotton pads and mascara, I “accidentally” buy 3 dresses and some leggings too. I just quickly add the total in my head (haha just kidding, I use the calculator on my phone) then buy the appropriate voucher value.
The minimum voucher value you can buy is £10, but for anything over that (up to £200), you can buy to the exact amount you want to spend.

The amount of cashback you can receive varies between retailers. The top end is 20% cashback but I’d say to expect between 2-8% for the most common shops. For reference, Primark is 8% right now and Tesco is 3% but these values can change depending on whether it’s “PUMPED UP” retailer.
I’m a big fan of how the app shows exactly how much cashback you can expect before you buy the voucher. It asks how much you’d like to prepay and as you type it in, the little bit underneath shows the cashback amount you’ll earn. Nifty, right?
What is a “PUMPED UP” Retailer on JamDoughnut?
When using JamDoughnut, you might notice some retailers have a little “PUMPED UP” box flagged on them. This just means they’re offering a higher rate of cashback for a fixed period. If you click on the retailer, you’ll see how long is left on the “PUMPED UP” offer. This is great if you’re planning a shopping trip in the next few days because you can check this extra cashback won’t expire before you go. If it might, you can always buy the voucher in advance.
