For healthy and full hair, hair needs to be taken care of correctly! With some extra TLC, your hair can be healthy and strong.
Here are some tips to follow to help take care of your hair:
1. Be mindful of the ingredients in the products you use
The ingredients in the products you use have a direct impact on the health of your hair. Products loaded up with fragrance and harsh ingredients can strip your scalp or cause unnecessary buildup. Naturally sourced products, such as the Blue Lagoon products for hair, are packed with nutrients and formulated with bioactive ingredients; these are the best kinds of products for the overall health of your hair.
2. Condition correctly
Conditioning correctly can really have an impact on your wash and post-wash days. Use the appropriate amount of conditioner for your hair and the right conditioner for your hair. For example, if you have thin hair you need loss product and it is recommended to use a lighter conditioner to not weigh your hair down. You also want to run the conditioner only through the ends of your hair rather than up to your roots, as this can weigh your hair down and cause it to become oily quicker.

3. Give your hair a special treatment at least once a week
At least once a week, or more depending on your hair, give your hair a special treatment! Whether a hydrating, bond repairing, or other treatment depending on your unique needs, a special treatment can help give your hair a boost and support it after daily exposure.
4. Avoid scalding hot water
Scalding hot water may feel great in the shower, but it can hurt our hair and skin. So instead, keep the temperature at a warm temperature in the shower and finish with a cool shot of water. It’s a boost for your mitochondria and also seals your hair after the warm water shower.
5. Avoid heat and air dry

Many of us have a hard time putting down the hot tools, but our hair is better off when we put them down! Rather than blow dry, let your hair air dry. It may take some time for your hair to adjust and also for you to adjust to seeing your beautiful natural hair, but your hair will thank you for it!
If you are committed to drying your hair with heat, commit to thermal protection and try letting your hair dry over 80% of the way before you come with medium/low heat to seal and style your hair.
Training our hair to new methods can take as much time and effort as it takes to train ourselves differently, but these tips are doable and have significant impact. You can also get creative and use an old t-shirt or hair wrap instead of a towel to dry your hair after washing it, or invest in a gentle microfiber towel to help speed up the airdrying without causing damage or frizz.
