Etsy is an international website so it can be pretty disappointing when you fall in love with something, only to find it doesn’t offer UK shipping. I’ve been browsing Etsy a lot lately, I’ve started my own shop so I downloaded the app and since doing so I’ve spent a lot less time on Facebook and a lot more time looking at extra special items made by wonderfully talented people.
I’ve got about a million Favourites now, I’m sure neither of us have the time for me to go through them all, so based on my readership being mostly women who are about my age and parents, I’ve shortened the list to 5 of the most relevant shops I’ve fallen in love with.
Before I start, I might as well shamelessly plug my own shop because although it’s only got a small amount of stock, I’ve put a lot of effort into designing the items I sell, so I recommend you have a look before I begin my list.
Now I’ve got the shameless plugging out of the way, on with the real list!
by Little Daisy
By Little Daisy make a range of gorgeous bespoke bags and other textile items. My favourite item is the pram bag pictured above, but there’s loads of other fabric items that have been made by hand and feature some truly beautiful prints. I’m a bit in love with all of the pram bags, I love a pram bag that’s different to everyone else’s and by buying from this shop, you’re guaranteed to be the only one in your group of friends who has a bag like it!
Red Moose Apparel
It’s easy to see why the above listing is my favourite, it’s a cat, it has matching shoes, it’s for a baby. Enough! I’m already sold! Red Moose Apparel sell cool designs on T-shirts, body suits and shoes, the perfect place for cool babies to get their clothes.
Nicole Charleston Art
I’d never seen anything like this before, it’s a gender reveal card where you have to scratch a panel to reveal the gender! I’d have loved to give these out to family members when I was pregnant. Nicole Charleston Artist makes all sorts of beautiful art, ranging from cards like the one pictured above, to intricate papercuts. You need to check her out!
It’s about time I shared something non-child-related. This great shop is based in Florida but offers UK shipping and sells handmade tagua nut jewellery. I love the colour combo in the picture. Galapagos Tagua offers all different kids of jewellery, including earrings and necklace sets as well as chunky colourpop bracelets, it’s all so pretty!
I love make up, and much like a pram bag situation, I like my make up bag to be nothing like anyone else’s either. The colour combo on the picture above is so lovely, it’s definitely my favourite design. Bellflower Textiles have loads of choice and offer a range of different size pouches in the same colourway, so you could treat yourself to a matching set if you wanted!
And so my round up ends, happy handmade shopping, everyone! Share any of your favourite Etsy shops in the comments!
