Glossybox vs Love Me Beauty

Subscription boxes are pretty fantastic. I’m a big fan of any and all of them but I’m aware that not everybody is happy to commit before conducting some proper research. With that in mind, I’m going to use this post to compare the two I’m currently subscribed to: Glossbybox and Love Me Beauty.

I’ll show you the goodies I received in each box for March. I also have special treats to share for both services should you choose to sign up through this post.

March Glossybox

March Glossybox 2017

This is a pleasant little haul, I’m a big fan of full-sized products and this month I got two. I always love to try a new shampoo and Sleek is one of my favourite brands when I buy make up for myself.

Let’s have a closer look:

March Glossybox 2017

Glossybox knows I’m blonde because I had to answer some questions about my colouring and preferences when I signed up.

March Glossybox 2017

I’m constantly trying eye creams now I’m the grand old age of 30. I’m trying my hardest fight off laughter lines (which is almost impossible, I laugh so much).

March Glossybox 2017

I tried this day cream after my bath today and it glides on so smoothly! It’s lush!

March Glossybox 2017I’m intrigued by this, I’ve not yet tried it but the concept is unusual. I’ve never come across a mask, moisturiser and primer in one. I’ll let you know how I get on, ‘thisworks’ is a brand I already like.

March Glossbybox 2017

My favourite treat of the month! I adore sleek and these colours feel romantic and vintage all at once. I can’t wait to get it on my face. Sleek make up always has high quality texture but a really affordable price tag.

Thoughts on the March Glossybox:

It’s great value for money this month with two full-size items and I love the look of the potions for my face. I prefer the boxes that are more cosmetic heavy (I’d have liked to see something for lips) but the sleek palette has a sumptuous selection all in one box  so I can’t really complain.

March Love Me Beauty

March Love Me Beuaty

Loads of treats here! Some classy brands and some interesting facial treatments. This bag of tricks will definitely keep me busy in the evenings for the rest of March.

March Love Me Beauty

These colours are amazing but the trouble I envisage it that once it’s open you’re left with a predicament. You’re unlikely to us it all in one application, but you can’t take an open little pocket out in your handbag without it being squashed everywhere. I may invest in some tiny pots to preserve them.

March Love Me Beauty

I like Caudalie goodies because they make me feel posh. Maybe it’s the name, maybe it’s the classy packaging. I don’t know, I just feel like a posh lady when I buy their stuff. I’m, pleased with these and looking forward to trying them out.

March Love Me Beauty

I have no idea why blue plasma is a good thing, but it feels sciencey and I’m excited to use it.

March Love Me Beauty

This seems to be some kind of peel product.

March Love Me Beauty

I was in need of some handbag sized brushes, these will do the trick nicely and they feel very soft and good quality.

March Love Me Beauty

I think we all know by now that I adore a high end face mask. My Friday night is sorted.

Thoughts on March’s Love Me Beauty Delivery

An excellent haul yet again. I had some extra points to use up so I got a couple of extra treats but I’m happy that I got higher than usual value for money. Love Me Beauty is a little different to Glossybox as you can choose your products, meaning I selected the contents of my bag. I was disappointed that there was an emphasis on skincare and not much make-up to choose from. Last month had more make-up and less skincare, so it does balance out.

  1. I have to come clean that I’m a recovering beauty-product-aholic. When I was a teenager I used to buy ridiculous amounts of makeup and stuff and always had too much/spent too much. I was a makeup hoarder. I still am a bit – but mostly because I use products so slowly because I don’t spend wear it as often. I sometimes commit to using a serum before bed or something but I am so inconsistent. Anyway, so my reaction to this post is I WANT but I know I would end up piling all the stuff in my wardrobe and not using it! But you’ve reviewed it so well, and subscription boxes for beauty products are definitely a cool idea. Thanks for linking up to #EatSleepBlogRT. Hope you can come back next week.

  2. Oh I think I like the look of Glossybox over Love Me Beauty although they both look amazing, I love the idea of a beauty subscription box. Thank you for sharing with #bigpinklink x

  3. Great review as I’m currently trying out different boxes to see which one I like best. The trouble I have is that I use the same brands and the same products all the time so I worry when trying new products out! I want to sign up for the Love Beauty box this month so will do so using your link 🙂
