Bea Skin Care: The Ant-Inflammatory & Anti-Aging Serum You Can’t Live Without

You might recall I recently tried bea skin care AHA rejuvenating wands (and loved them). The lovely people at bea then sent me another product from the range to try which is both an anti-inflammatory and anti-aging serum.

The bea skin care vitamin C 20% hyaluronic acid serum is the reviving ‘step 3’ in a five step skin care regime.

bea STEP 3: VITAMIN C 20% & HYALURONIC ACID SERUM laid on on marble, surrounded by petals and near some fluffy flannels (one beige, one plum coloured

It is designed to be used twice a day, after cleansing, which is easy enough to stick to. I followed the instructions and after one application, the skin on my face was feeling a little tighter and looked brighter. This was probably down the the whopping amount of vitamin C in the serum.

Most serums that contain vitamin C, have such a small amount you’d be forgiven for not noticing the effects. The serum by bea contains 20% vitamin C. No wonder I noticed a difference so quickly! I also found fine lines around my eyes had disappeared and I looked a bit more lively. (The next step in the range is specifically designed for firming and plumping the skin, often referred to as the ‘instant wrinkle deactivator’.)

I think this serum has done a really good job of brightening and smoothing my face skin (this is a selfie, I'm wearing purple lipstick and a flower crown but I think my skin looks good)After a few days of application, I would say that my skin tone was more even and, more radiant (which was good because I was about to get married).

The serum boasts the ability to reduce puffiness and sun damage, but I don’t suffer from either so can’t really comment. What I will say though, is that I noticed instant effects on the whole looking younger front. The combination of vitamin C and hyaluronic acid promotes intense re-hydration, which left my skin feeling 18 years old again.

I think you can see from the picture my skin looks smooth, bright and most importantly; clear. The serum is light, absorbs easily and doesn’t leave your skin clogged. It’s worth noting too that those AHA wands from the blog post mentioned above have really helped keep my skin feeling soft and even.. I have no visible fine lines either (which I’d say is pretty good going for being almost 31!)

The benefits listed on the website:

  • Stimulates elastin and fibroblast production
  • Lightens hyperpigmentation
  • Removes dead skin cells
  • Makes skin appear more youthful and radiant
  • Anti-bacterial and antioxidant ingredients promote intense skin rehydration
  • Suitable for those with active acne, sensitive skin and rosacea

My Verdict

I’ve found this serum to be really good and have really enjoyed testing it out. My makeup glides on easier and has a smoother finish. I suffer from mild rosacea and have noticed the pink glow of my face doesn’t really shine through my makeup as the day goes on any more (although I do still use a green pigment base).

This is a high-end product at a relatively affordable price and does a great job of making me look younger. Beauty  always requires an holistic approach and great skin is the best place to start.

If you’re ready to write your letters to Santa, I’d maybe request the full 5-step regime while it’s on offer. I know that’s what is going on my Christmas list!
