Autumn Styling: What I’ll be Wearing and Where to Buy It

I love the slight temperature drop the beginning of October brings. It means that I can start wearing clothes based on how they look, as opposed how they score on a rating system based on bagginess and coolness. Autumn is when my clothes become fashion once again.

I love to play about with textures and like all the colours I wear to be rich, deep tones. This velvet dress is perfect for adding a bit of texture to my wardrobe.

Leggings: New Look
Shoes: New Look
Changing bag: Pink Lining
Plus size party tops

Bright colours and skater style skirts are a must for me as well. I find the flippy style of the skirt adds a bit of personality and femininity. Don’t be afraid of bright colours, autumn is the time to wear them!

Dress: Simply Be
Leggings: New Look
Shoes: Primark (about 7 years ago)

autumnal wardrobeColours that aren’t traditionally teamed together can be paired up in their darker tones. Purple and green aren’t often seen together outside of Batman comics featuring The Joker, but somehow their darker shades complement one another. Three quarter sleeves can be the perfect light layer for the nip in the air on autumn mornings.

Blazer: New Look (this link leads to the grey version of the blazer, I’m find the purple one now)
T-Shirt: New Look
Jeans: New Look
Shoes: New Look (I bought them in-store, can’t find a link!)

I’m currently in love with autumnal tones too. There was a time I would never dream of wearing orange, but the right tone can be a really pretty colour. This fox print dress is the cutest think I’ve seen in a while. It’s comfortable to wear and it’s of a length that doesn’t show off my pants (tall girl problems).

Dress: Next

As you can probably tell, I was really sensible when my student loan landed!

What will you be wearing this autumn? Do you have any favourites to share?
